Sushi 101 - Woodlawn Location

My 12-yr old boy was craving sushi today. He ordered the Spicy Katsu Chicken & Salmon Maki. He said it’s spicy and “freaking” good! Now, he’s looking forward to his next visit!Food: 5/5

Friendly service. Pretty good food and an excellent atmosphere. I like the atmosphere here because it is more casual than a lot of sushi places, but not so casual that it feels like takeout. It looks like a friendly hangout. I do not live in the area but after my reservation at another place was canceled, I looked for another place nearby. I ate here with six other people and we all had a great time and great food.

It's a small gem.. I found this place with my sissy while going to Total Wine.. Now it's mine and my niece's favorite place for sushi. It's the Crispy Bagel, fried rice, and Cali roll for me! Update.. 09/23.. Still me hidden gem! My niece and I now go.

Ok, it took awhile for our order to come out BUT The Sushi is fuckkkkking Phenomenal, You can trust my taste buds I promise lol. My girl got Firecracker sushi and it came with six rolls, it was my third fav. My bestie got Yellow submarine which had a slice of mango on top that complimented SOOO FREAKING WELL! I was eating up his rolls lol, if that tells you how good they were, they were my second favorite. I ordered the Professor Vu rolls which came with 8 and they were my favorite! I'm writing this review still sitting at the table I definitely recommend and I'll be coming back soon! Also everyone was really sweet especially one lady I didn't catch her name but I feel like she was the owner.

Have been here in the past and always get a “any style” broth bowl with soba noodles with chicken. 15.95 with tax and tip $20.00 had a water so basically 20 bucks for a bowl of broth without much vegetables and meat. As with so many places today, their prices continue to rise while portion size is reduced. Restaurants have to decide, raise prices and keep portion sizes the same but raising prices and reducing size is a deal breaker. Already cancelled some small chains since they do both now. If you want a donation then ask for one. I don’t go to restaurant to give donations

Good fresh sushi at reasonable prices. I can here for lunch and there were not many people eating although it was not empty either. About half of the tables were marked and intentionally left empty to allow for social distancing due to Covid 19. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The food came quickly and was very good. Overall I would recommend!

We were happy with our takeout. We ordered miso soup, calamari rings with a spicy dipping sauce, crispy and plain California rolls, surf and turf roll, tempura shrimp rolls and Cajun egg rolls. All were delicious and fairly priced.

The Rainbow roll here is absolutely amazing! stopped by for lunch today, asked the waitresswho was very sweet what she recommended and thats where she pointed me. I ordered the first roll, then had to order one more. taste is fantastic, atmosphere is relaxing. 5/5 spot to eat. Thanks for the great experience!

Absolutely loved it! It was the first time that I had been there, and it will certainly not be the last. The food was incredible, the service was friendly, and our food made to us in a very timely fashion. All in all just a very solid eating experience. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for some great food.

My friend and I made a impromptu stop by because we were hungry and saw this restaurant. Needless to say we were disappointed. There was a disconnect between portion and price. We were super excited to pay $13 for a fancy roll. Yet when the food came out we were both disappointed at how small the rolls were. I thought my rainbow roll was fine but my friend said her tuna was dry and fishy. Service was great though except they kept insisting we get more than just water. Hopefully future customers can have a better experience
