Sushi gen shreveport

Sushi Gen is my favorite place to get sushi. They are the ones that changed my mind about sushi! It is always so good! I love the staff...but they have literally never disappointed me. My to go orders are always great as well. I love the steak bento box, yam yam roll, shrimp tempura, spicy tuna, 007, and Osaka roll with crab on top**they have 2 Osaka rolls. Their clear soup and spicy mayo are perfect! Im mot crazy about their ginger dressing. It's a creamy style ginger dressing.

My favorite restaurant in Shreveport! The sushi and hibachi is always a phenomenal. Ask for Ace as your server! She is the sweetest waitress I’ve ever had.

Food was fantastic! Some sushi places gives you more rice on a roll instead of meat. This places gives you more in the inside of the roll instead of the outside. Did I mention it was fresh?! Meat had a rainbow color it was so fresh! Sushi Gen Shreveport Louisiana

Eating at this restaurant was such a wonderful experience and I cannot wait to go back. The waitress was attentive and very sweet. Everything she suggested us to try was just wonderful. My picky 9 year old devoured his food and some of the appetizer. My Mai Tai was sweet and strong. My Husband's White Russian was strong. I can't get over how fresh and delicious the food was.

It was my first time there and it was awesome! Delicious food and very nice staff. It for sure won't be my last time eating there.

Best sushi in town. It's one of the only two places we will grab sushi. I recommend the Mango roll and dragon roll. The miso soup is not bad either as a light appetite.

Steak Hibachi comes with "our vegetable." Turns out that means 70% onions. I tried to ask for more of the other vegetables but I got "sorry, chef says that's how it comes." Well oh well, I just won't order it anymore. Not pictured: the one piece of broccoli I ate. Also, their calamari is awful.. do not order. Small update: They did comp it after I complained again, but really all I wanted was a couple of more vegetables. I would have much rather paid for the food I wanted and took some leftovers home like I had planned. It would have cost almost nothing to balance the vegetables and I probably could have gotten it if I had been the type of person to actually make a big deal out of it. Instead I was offered shrugged shoulders and empty apologies, and they ate the entire cost of the meal.. The 4 or 5 pieces of steak I ate were good, and the one piece of broccoli, while slightly under cooked for my taste, was still good. Another update: It's weird getting a reply two years later, but I do want to clear up that I did not think I was 'king' and certainly didn't 'hurt' your staff. I still think 50% onions is too much, which is why I've never ordered it again.

Nice place for sushi/Japanese. Great flavor in the fried rice. Veggies had great texture. Love the miso soup. Very nice staff.

My go-to sushi place in town. Great lunch-special bento boxes, and all the regular sushi classics you'd expect, plus some really great rolls. Try the Red River Roll or the 007 Roll for some of my favorites. Their Ahi Tower is also exactly what I want it to be, which always keeps me coming back.
