Sushi Yoru

Since moving to the area almost 2 years ago, my husband and I really enjoy good sushi, and this place is truly a hidden gem! We’ve tried a couple of other local places, but honestly, this is the one place we just always go to when the craving for amazing sushi hits! The owners are very nice and friendly. I believe it’s just them there, too. The female owner is always pleasant on the phone when we call to place our large order! Her husband I think is the sushi “chef.” Most times you do have to order a little in advance for takeout/pickup, but I promise it’s worth the wait! It’s fresh and made-to-order, just like great sushi should be! Every roll is perfection and made with care, and very tasty! We’ve never had a bad experience here, ever. I hope this restaurant continues to thrive because we need it!! Hands down, the best sushi we’ve ever had! If you haven’t tried it, just do it!

We LOVE Sushi Yoru! If we are craving quality sushi, we come here! Jenny is always so kind and remembers our favorites. The lunch specials are our favorite and it comes with edamame and miso. My son doesn’t like the sauce and veggies in the sushi bowl, and they are always accommodating him by making it simple. We love the sushi bowls with everything! And my daughter gets the Alaskan rolls. Mmmmm

Without a doubt this is the best sushi in Lake Zurich. Service is also friendly and excellent! It does get busy and food takes a while during dinner time, but it is worth the wait. I will be back with my family! Highly recommend salmon dragon, tuna dragon, and winter dragon rolls.Food: 5/5

One of the best sushi places I've experienced in Chicagoland. The owners are very friendly and polite and the chef is absolutely masterful. Watching the food be made was a genuine treat. Everything is high quality and delicious. Will be visiting again and again for sure!

Their staff was great, very attentive and worked hard to please us even though they were incredibly busy. Sushi was fresh and delicious!

Hidden gem in the strip mall! This is a mom and pop shop, and the chef has some good ideas for sushi! Good prices and large portions. Tasted fresh and loved the seared rolls.

This place was really good. It has really good and friendly customer service and delicious food. The wait was a little long but it was worth it considering you get to see the food being made fresh in front of you. It was a lot of food too. Would specifically recommend the jalapeño roll. Also a very nicely decorated interior.

So pleased with our first visit to Sushi Yoru! Wanted to support a local business during COVID and it was fantastic. Easy to order over the phone, quick pickup, well packaged and really great price. Started with edamame and gyoza. They also include free miso soup. The spicy salmon and dragon rolls were fresh and flavorful. But the tuna tataki and Godzilla were our favorites! Both really excellent...taste, texture and complexity. Highly recommend Sushi Yoru!

Incredible experience! Sushi rolls were delicious and unbelievably fresh. We ordered Tuna Dragon, Tuna Tataki and Godzilla. Very attentive and friendly staff. We’ll definitely come again
