I've had several images done here and I've always been treated with respect and dignity and the imaging has always been accurate and helpful. The staff are great and keep up the good work
This place is not a free standing facility, it belongs to UPMC Susquehanna the monopoly rip off health group in this area!!! Your will be billed by Willamsport Hospital the newly renovated fancy hospital with a Starbucks onsite. The money they threw in the renovation reflects the high increase you find out on your medical bill. Before I got my test done there recently, I contacted my insurance company and was told this facility was a free standing facility not a part of hospital. I called this place, the front desk told me they are not with the hospital. Ok, I thought if it was not a part of Williamsport hospital, as a free standing facility, the cost should be more reasonable. I was wrong. The claim was billed by Williamsport hospital, not Susquehanna MRI. Insurance company contacted them and was told they are part of Williamsport hospital now. Williamport hospital billed over $7000 and insurance company paid over $4000 for the head and neck MRA image service. You could get them done at a free standing facility or some other none monopoly hospitals for less than $1000. If you have high decutible like most of the people nowadays. Please avoid this place to get your MRI or MRA done. Drive a little bit further for a much cheaper free standing facility or even a smaller hospital in other town. It's sad to see living in a small area, the health group such as UPMC and Geisinger are growing like monopoly. They keep buying all the hospitals, free standing facilities the much cheaper choice for patients before them got bought etc. The free standing facilities became part of those monopolies, instead of more reasonable pricing, now they bill the same as part of the hospitals. The worst part is after all those small places got bought, patients in this small city have no other cheaper place to go to anymore. The hospital could charge you as much as they want because they are the only provider in this area. Patients are like the fish on the chopping board waiting for being chopped, hopeless.
These people were so great. I was in such pain that they had to stop and reschedule. When I came back they actually remembered me. I recomend them highly and yes they are part of UPMC which is one of the highest nationally ranked hospitals and medical schools in the United States.
Showed up on time and they said they took the person who was scheduled after me since he was already signed in and now thry cant get me in. Sit and wait maybe we can fit you in.
