We have been to dozens of concerts at Sweetland Amphitheatre since it opened and it's always so much fun. They have a great mix of really big well-known acts and up and coming and niche artists. They have a great covered pavilion with food trucks and merch from the bands, along with seating and games up top to keep you busy until the show starts. We are so fortunate to have an incredible venue like this in LaGrange.
Great place to watch a concert. Chris Tomlin was incredible, just like the crowd and atmosphere.
I do audio here occasionally. There's not a bad seat in the house. It is very easy to load in and the mix position is great. Not enough bathrooms though.
What a wonderful venue! I've been multiple times now and have thoroughly enjoyed myself! The parking is easy, the restrooms are clean and the staff is helpful and friendly!
I had a great time at this hidden gem. This was my first at Sweetland, but it definitely won't be my last! The Nelly concert was awesome!!! My Sis and I had a fantastic experience!!!
Saw Chris Tomlin there. If you love outside venues, this is the place to be.
Yes there are a lot of steps but with that exception there isn't a bad seat in the place.
Everything about this venue is fantastic, EXCEPT that they ramp up the volume too much. It's completely unnecessary. Even young people - my children in their 30's - can hardly stand it and have left concerts because their ears hurt. If their ears hurt, you can be sure it is damaging their ears, their hearing. It is a serious health hazard that is being allowed because the damage is not immediate, and because management believes this is what people want. And people don't want this! Shocking that the ushers liberally hand out ear plugs at every concert. They are well aware of this problem. I want to go to the Nelly concert, actually have tickets, but I will likely stay 10-- 15 min and be forced to leave. This is so unfortunate. I challenge the management to dig into this and find out what others are truly thinking. Measure the decibels during the concerts. Our ears are important organs. It is quite possible to provide fabulous musical entertainment without causing pain and irreparable harm to the concertgoers.
The Tamela Mann concert was my first visit to Sweetland. Tamela and David were awesome. The Holy Spirit was in the place. I not only enjoyed the concert but also enjoyed my experience. Lucky for me, my seat was in the pit. I was shielded from direct sun but it was humid and only a light breeze every now and then. By the time the show cooled down. All of the volunteers were helpful, kind and knowledgeable. I'm hoping I can visit the ice skating rink in the winter.
Rude employees. Treated my mother like a misbehaving child at a concert because she didn’t know she brought chairs that were a few inches too tall. Threatened her about them even. Now her and her friends and a bunch of elderly people are having to sit on prickly grass because they all brought 17” chairs. This should have been communicated better when tickets were purchased. And if you have to inform someone their chairs are the wrong kind BE NICE!
