Visiting from Australia only Guyanese living downunder..hahaha, saw Sybil's Bakery on Utube and endeavoured to check it out when I got the opportunity. So, was taken by dear family friends and bought most of the items I have been longing for: Guyanese Beef patties, pineapple tarts, tennis rolls, gotta go back to get Cassava pone,Peanut punch !!!. I saw the trays of cooked foods waiting to be had,,,but I had already eaten. Thanks to Mignon and her son Lee for taking me there.
Great restaurant. I had a craving for pepper pot and Peanut punch. This place never disappoints. Now I have to go back for more. Great service, food and prices. Everyone parks anywhere close. A top choice for Guyanese favorites.
I have been wanting to visit this place for years and I finally got the chance. It did not disappoint. Friendly staff and I enjoyed everything I ordered.Food: 5/5
Talk about curry? Yea this is the place!! Great authentic Guyanese cuisine. Great portions, and if you don’t like spice then don’t go, the curry will explode them taste buds. The more you eat the more you feel it, I went around 7-8pm there was a wait. My number was 21 and they were only on 12 which is expected with great food. Would definitely go again. Can’t forget GREAT FRIENDLY SERVICE.
Great place to have Caribbean food. Love their jerk chicken,
Food was great. Pricy but worth it. Will go back when if I'm in the area.Food: 5/5
At this point I am so disappointed and disgusted by this place. 05/17/2023 went to purchase a few items. bought an egg and ask for mango sour the sales girl said they don’t have they have tamarind sour. Came back to the office just to find the tamarind sour to be spoiled along with a HAIR inside, I am so disgusted and mind you I am seven months pregnant and to think of what could have happened and how sick I could have gotten if I had only eat this. Sybil you guys need to do better.
For a real taste of NY and Queens, Gayanese delicasese will do the trick. They have all the sweets and savories to fulfill an open pallette. I come here every time. Great cultural experience.Food: 5/5
Jerk Chicken wasn't in the same container on top the rice and the amount of Jerk Chicken given was small compared to the extra large portion of white rice of which I actually ordered beans peas & rice. But the Jerk had a good flavor and nice spice to it.Food: 2/5
This place was crowded but what is to be expected from the Guyanese community staple. I used to go to Sybil’s in Brooklyn growing up and this was my first time here. The food was just as great. Expect long lines and patience. It is worth the wait.Food: 5/5
