I don't live near Monrovia and was in the area just exploring a bit with my girlfriend, we wanted to stop and grab some food prior to hitting up the movie theater. I had a couple mixed drinks called Oasis, which I highly recommend and the bartender who suggested the drinks was very attentive and helpful with any questions I had. The place wasn't very busy when we went which is always a plus in my book. We ordered the pork sliders with fries which were cooked perfectly and really tasty, she had a watermelon margarita which tasted great. I attached pictures of the food and drinks. Check this place out if you ever happen to be around Monrovia. Good service Clean environment Good drinks / food
First time enjoying food at 38 Degrees. Excellent food and service. We enjoyed the 38 burger and smoked chicken Cobb salad. The house-baked bun was very good. Sweet potatoes fries were also very good. Will definitely be back to try some other menu items.Food: 5/5
I always try to swing by this place if I'm close to downtown Monrovia. I like it because it's a bit off the beaten path and it has plenty of space, plenty of positive service and most importantly plenty of beer. I started off trying the broken skull lager which was great and also tried the tartini sour at the recommendation of the Beerista. I love sours and the tartini was delish. I ended up having that and two Bahn Mi tacos with extra jalapenos. I liked the beer so much that I ordered a second. I figured I ate two tacos I might as well make it even and have two beers. Tartini Sour - Fruited - 5.4% ABV - Cascade Brewing
38 degrees has been a go to favorite of mine for years now. Whether it’s drinks with friends or a quick dinner before catching a movie, or a laid back date night, they never disappoint. The food is of excellent quality, and is quite varied, and the tap beer selection is always interesting. Check it out, you won’t regret it!
Their El Benedicto was amazing!!! The fried polenta cakes were perfectly crispy and tasty and I would def come back for those!! Also tried the Huevos Ranchero and it was tasty too! My only complaint was how long it took for the food to come. I understand weekends are busy and we had somewhat of a big party 6 of us. But I was starving and it took 20-25 min for the food to come out after ordering. I do appreciate the waitress getting us water since we sat down though. There is a good amount of parking in the lots and on the street. Also plenty of seating too!
This place is a hidden underrated gem. Brunch, lunch and dinner...you will be well taken care of and fed to your capacity. Good place to catch your favorite sports team on their many well positioned TVs they have on offer.Food: 5/5
We were so excited to hear that they started "Taco Tuesdays!" We went on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. We continued to order and pick up the tacos during the shutdown. They aren't your ordinary "same place, same thing" tacos. They are yummy unique versions with a new featured taco of the week! We went last night & brought my daughter's co-worker & her boyfriend, who were excited to try these tasty tacos. They loved them! I highly recommend going to 38 Degrees Ale House for Taco Tuesdays!
My favorite "Chipotle Honey Buffalo Wings" in Old Town, Monrovia! Great place to watch your favorite sport, they have a great beer selection.Food: 5/5
Great low key place with outdoor patio. We ate an amazing brunch here. Great service from a very nice server. ***** for that too! This is a brunch favorite! Get the Polenta Cake Pulled Pork Benedict pictured in this review or the Brisket and Eggs I forget the fancy names they created on the menu for these items but that is what they are! Both were excellent! I’m definitely coming back! Nice indoor open feel bar area indoors as well. Thanks 38 Degrees!
Food was decent, looked great. The brunch prices were good. Service could have been better: Long time to get our drinks and place food order, long wait after we asked for condiments, water glasses empty for 30 mns until we asked for more, i guess there's no refill on iced tea because it was never offered, or maybe we had to ask. Times are different now, so we understand. I did appreciate that they adjusted the umbrella 2-3 times without us asking.
