I look for honesty and trust when it comes to Healthcare. One star to the hygienist. I came here for a cleaning and x-rays. I was told by Dr Takla I needed 7+ root canals so he reccomended to me a full set of veneers for 8 thousand. Saw my old dentist today at least a year after that appointment. Said my teeth are in great shape and only have 3 minor cavaties to be filled. I still can't believe the money they tried to get me to spend for an unnecessary procedure. P.S. I have records of my visit so do not contest the validity of this review.
Hygienist is not cleaning your teeth. Dentist goes in for 5 minutes. Dental assistant girl said none of them are even certified to do prophy polishes and flossing on you. This is not right! They do the kids cleaning with out being certified. Be careful ! Place is dirty. Only good thing is they can get you in last minute.
I lost a crown and after calling upwards of 15 dentists, they were able to get me in after hours and reinstall the crown without any issues. Friendly and professional staff.
Only good for cleanings. Went for a routine cleaning and was instructed that I needed fillings. Got the fillings and due to the dentist’s methods ended up needing a root canal. Would not recommend.
Two stars because I never had to pay out of pocket with my insurance. Not five stars for a couple reasons. On my third or fourth visit, my dental assistant spent my entire cleaning telling me how terribly I’ve done with keeping up with my teeth. She did not try to have a conversation with me, and I couldn’t respond because it was during my cleaning. It felt like I was in kindergarten and she was scolding me. She later told the dentist in front of me that she “talked to me” about my dental hygiene. Not once did she ask me questions or try to engage me in conversation. We’re all adults, it would be more helpful to have a discussion with customers. I have never had a cavity and do take care of my teeth. They also require you to confirm your appointment twice at risk of losing your appointment. One confirmation is a month before. I confirmed my appointment at that time. A few days prior to my appointment, I received a voicemail saying that if I don’t confirm then they will cancel my appointment. I called and spoke with Miriam and asked if they received my confirmation a month prior. She said yes. I asked why they would leave me a voicemail a month later saying they’re going to cancel my appointment if I don’t confirm my appointment. Miriam said that’s just the way it is and was dismissive and rude. Have been going elsewhere for dental care and am having a much better customer experience.
I have had a really good experience here With a doctor and most of the staff. Unfortunately, my crown fell off after only one month! They have fixed it and I acknowledged my responsibility for its care. I’m grateful. When I called to tell them I had strike 3 with Miriam who others have mentioned. She is deeply indifferent and seems perpetually put out by having to interact with clients or just me? but has no problem chatting with her coworkers while scrolling on her phone. Is it too much to ask that when I come in she say “hello, thanks for coming in.”? Or when I come in with my crown in a plastic bag she say, “I am so sorry this happened!”? I don’t think it is. This place would be MUCH better if they took her away from that front desk.
I had to go here for years to get my braces done and the staff is rude, will hurt you, and even ignore you when you need help. Good luck placing a call to this place it might take them a few days or even weeks to get back to you and on top of everything they slap a large price tag onto this gruesome experience.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS OFFICE!!!! Dr. Takla and his dental hygienist Sharon are amazing. I mean the whole office is great! Everyone is pleasant and professional. I highly recommend Orland Dental Care even if you have a fear. They are very gentle and thorough. I couldn't ask for better health care! -Nov. 2019 Update 08/24/2020- I wasn't able to add a new review for whatever reason but I wanted still give a 5-star review. I can not stress enough how much of a blessing this office is! I recently went in and saw some new faces, but everyone is still kind and have an uplifting tone in their voice! The place is very clean and they are taking great and effective precautions during this pandemic. I want to also add that they are willing to work with you on whatever situation you have and they are very thorough with letting you know costs up front. I will always recommend this Dental Office! I love you guys! You're the best.
First of all the office is so beautiful and the staff are all so very professional and polite. Within my appointment we were able to make plans for the upcoming journey of getting me to my perfect smile. The best dentist experience that I’ve ever had. Highly recommend and actually looking forward to my next visit!
It was my first visit after searching for a dentist with good reviews in my network. I couldn’t be happier. The staff is so helpful and nice. Very friendly place and they explain everything they are doing step the step.
