Fantastic Italian restaurant in Belmont/Charlottesville. Staff was exceedingly friendly, the drinks were great. We had mock tails that were very fun. All the food was excellent. We sat at the chefs bar where we could see the chefs preparing the food. It was a really cool experience.Food: 5/5

We had an amazing experience. The food and beverages exceeded expectations! The complex flavor profiles of the mushroom pasta and the scallops were not lost on us. Service worthy of standing 20% gratuity. Quaint atmosphere and perfect playlist sealed the deal. 5 stars well earned by very attentive staff.

In my opinion - the only restaurant in Cville with legit pasta worth the carbs! We chose to celebrate my husband’s birthday at Tavola, because it’s always a pleasure and never disappoints. Our server, Dallas, was exceptional and knew the menu well and made great recommendations. We‘ll be back soon!

Homemade pasta is so good and unique, and I highly recommend everyone to try their specials, truly delightful menu. The bruschetta and burrata are awesome, and we loved their meatball pasta and bucatini all amatriciana.

The Food was amazing! The Burrata is definitely a must.. Our host for the evening was Caleb and he was a pleasure to talk to. The atmosphere is very cozy. I loved it! We are not from here, but I feel like we may take another day to eat here again before we leave.

Absolute all-around exceptional restaurant experience from beginning to end. Make a res for the Chef's Bar & watch them do their magic!

First with an opportunity for Tavola to improve: Our table spent over $400 and we were chatting after the tab had been paid. The restaurant had cleared out, it was about 9:15 and over half of the tables were empty. Then we were “checked in” on by a hostess with wine still in our glasses. She said there was another party to have our table and we were escorted to the crowded back bar to finish chatting and our wine. So tacky—the other party could have easily been sat at another open table. Other than that, I love the food and atmosphere of the restaurant and we had very solid service. And it’s great that they take reservations now.

Always a pleasure. If you’re looking for someplace comfortable, but special, Tavola is Charlottesville’s best. I visit every time I am in town sometimes more than once and loge their mafaldine, their bucatini, their cocktails, their staff. A gem.

the dishes were very, very good, but they made us go from the waiting area, to the bar, then to the patio area offering different menu each time. the idea was great but it would have been nicer if we could eat from the bar instead of waiting more than 2 hours for the entree.

We loved our waiter, Aaron! We spent a casual 2 hours from appetizers to entrees. Food was amazing! Atmosphere great. Special event post Covid.
