It was later the venue where Dick "Huggy Boy" Hugg, a legendary L.A. Disc-Jockey who was instrumental in promoting Rock-N-Roll music in the 1950's. He held an American Bandstand-like program here in the 90's. Hugg was a DJ off and on all the way until 2002. He died in 2006, but his name lives on. The theatre now houses a church.
