Nice, open space for the dogs to run around. They have a small dog park and large dog park, both very clean. Lots of benches to sit and watch the dogs play. Perfectly located next to Hillsborough River to catch a slight breeze every now and then.
Nice place has two dog parks. 30lbs and less the other side 30lbs and up. Hicking trail close by and picnic tables across the street in a small park.
Good place to take your babies of four legs. Safe and have a gate and fence all around. Dog-friendliness: This is a park for dogs Safe for them to play. Even have water for them. Nice park.
My dog loved it here period if you jump for joy. The moment that we got out of the car, but she did not like the inside of the gate portion of the park, she provided more joy for herself outside the gate, only walked along the canal while she wanted to explore the canal itself I was too afraid the alligators might get hurt. So we kept to the path and so many mentionable things which I cannot mention right now. Playground: Swing no Restrooms: Nope not Dog-friendliness: Dogs are man's best cimoani Picnic area: Eat here bur don't sharen
I like this dog park. It kind of has a nice view and it's a good size. They have a small side and a big dog side. My complaint is that there are signs for owners to pick up after their dog, and as I'm walking along the perimeter of the small dog side, there are piles of poop everywhere. People here do not pick up after their dog. And it's obviously not just one person.
Went for the first time on a Monday MLK holiday 2021 and park fence sign and google maps says closes at 2p every Monday for maintenance but we were there well past that time and no one closed the park. Not sure if because of holiday or if that is normal but we were happy it was opened later. Very small patch of dirt around shelter but the rest of this park is well maintained grass. Very spacious and scenic on hill top which is rare for dark parks in this area. Water supply and picnic table under shelter for shade. Not a lot of trees. For the most part everyone picks up after their dog. Plastic kiddie pool, couple fire hydrants and four additional wooden benches along the perimeter. Careful for splinters one got us under fingernail!
Definitely one of the best community dog parks in the USF area. It has water hoses, shaded tables, trash cans, and plenty of room for the doggos to run around. It is mowed regularly and has nice y’all fences for the dogs. The view is nice and quiet, and it has two separate fenced areas: one area for small dogs 30 lbs or less and another for large dogs more than 30 lbs. Definitely our favorite spot!
I go around and visit a lot of the dog parks in the Tampa Bay Area and my golden retriever and I both enjoy this one a lot. They have a smaller section for dogs that are 30 pounds or less as well. They provide poop bags and trash cans. They even have running water which is nice if you want to cool your dog down or give them water. Overall one of my favorites.
This was my first time at this park. I like this park because it up on a hill and a little hilly within the park as well. This is difficult to find here - hills that is. It is on a hill above the water canal. Ample seating, both small and big dog sides are large. Lots of grass and not that much dirt. The park does look a little worse for wear. Parking lot had a used condom in it, despite no smoking signs the picnic table had an empty coffee cup and empty pack of cigarettes on it. When I arrived at sunrise there were two people in an SUV smoking what seemed to be weed. In short, I get the impression this park is a bit of an after hours hang out for certain activities. Still 4 stars for the uniqueness of the park and because the essentials are good lots of grass, access to water, good fencing, large area, close parking. The sunrise was pretty looking at it up on a hill. Update: We enjoyed a second visit. I like this park for the views, the space, and the uniqueness of the hills.
First time going there & probably won't go back. There was dog mess around. We also prefer the parks with obstacle course but the is just a closed off area with nothing else.
