Quaint Mexican establishment with good daily specials. My taquitos special included a few well done portions but didn't detract from the flavors; I simply removed the extra crispy pieces.Food: 3/5

The food here is good but starting to get expensive as they have raised their prices significantly within the last couple years. Dining area has been fairly crusty the last few times I’ve been and the floor is filthy.

Very great, outdoor seating Covid 19 cautious. Sterile dining environment. The food was excellent, fresh. Vegetarian options.

had the carnitas plate. it was excellent! I highly recommended! food was fast, hot and delicious. service was amazing. washed it down with the best aqua horchata I've had in a while! I will return when I'm in the area again

One of my most visited Mexican restaurants in southern Illinois, usually consistent although sometimes lacking seasoning or flavor. I've had my fair share of overcooked and unseasoned shrimp, but you get what you pay for and it's shrimp in SoILL. I'm usually just thrilled because my grandpa is. He is picky about where he will go out to eat and he LOVES Tequilas. So I will continue to visit and fill up on chips and salsa

Old long time costumer New review. This was the best restaurant in town. I used to love the Stake Los Duenos. Today I was shocked to find out the prices went up again. The stake I get went up over 2 dollars. That's the good news. I got home the amount of food I got was half the amount I got before and the steak wasn't just smaller it was very low quality. I couldn't even swallow it was so tuff and it didn't have any flavor at all. I have no problem paying more money, I just want the delicious stake I got there before. Tequila's I'm still hungry after paying $23.00 to eat there. Below is my old review from years ago. Sorry Tequila's you no longer are my favorite place to eat. Hungry in carbondale illinois. Old review was 5 stars. After 40 year relationship this is the only restaurant my husband and I both love!! Update: after 2 years, Tequila's in Carbondale Illinois still my favorite place to eat in all of Southern Illinois! Love this place! Old review Yes thats the chewy stake I got today.
