This place is good for broken bones and stitches ,but if you have a problem that requires testing outside of a urine sample your screwed forget even figuring out what the problem is. I PROMISE your guess is as good as theirs. Just go to Dallas yes you will wait longer but at least they know what they are doing. Most of the staff here is good and considerate but the doctors will just go with their first thought. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL!!!
Everybody there was so nice when I took my daughter. I was actually done on how nice and helpful they was. My daughter is a lot like me. She doesn't like anybody that she don't know but she loved everyone there. Absolutely the best hospital I've ever step foot in.
I had a procedure there today. Everyone I had contact with was great check in, doctor, nurses, assistants, anesthesiologist, etc. They all were very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They got me in and settled quickly, procedure went well, and back out again without ever feeling rushed or ignored.
This is by far the BEST hospital I have been too. The staff here is A1 they help anyway then can. They ALL go above and beyond what is needed. Plus the food here is delicious and you have your own menu u can pick and choose from
My husband, Paul Wayland Mitchell a Veteran was seen in ER on 6/1 & 6/15/23. The receptionist greeted us with cheerfulness, courtesy and respect. We were seen by Dr. Da Ouyang who explained each treatment, exam and personally gave reasons for each medication He cared, his bedside manner was kind, clear and honest. The nurse Mrs DequayhaGreene was informed, caring and thorough. She took the time to explain eachmedication, its side effects. she made sure I his wife was was informed, and apprised of happenings involving his condition. The overall ER was above the call of duty, we need more like Texas Health Presbytetian Kaufman.
Everyone was nice and professional. It was a Tuesday morning, so not busy, and they promptly got me in and started treatment right away. This ER has always done well by my husband and me throughout the years.
I took both of my kids there and they were very polite and fast. We were in and out in 3 hours tops and they ran tests and explained everything to me. Highly recommend this hospital.
I woke up at 3:00am Saturday January 28th with pains in my chest so bad I literally could not breathe and couldn't take even the smallest breath without tremendous pain. I live in Oak Ridge and Texas Health Presbyterian in Kaufman was the closet hospital. The service and attention was first class. My son took me as I was unable to drive. The ER team were awesome and Kort was on the spot as were the rest of the team. Turns out I had pneumococcal pneumonia/pleurisy and my lungs were in bad shape and I am not and never have been a smoker. Once up to a regular room...Stacey, Kelli, Paula, Alese, Geraldine were so nice and seemed to genuinely care and did a great job. I apologize for the long post...but I felt compelled to write something on behalf of the hospital and their staff. Everyone has different experiences...however; mine was great and I am feeling much better. This is the only hospital I will go to now. OH! one more thing...the fact that they put a little American Flag sticker by my room number...was representative of me be being a Marine Corps Veteran. Very Classy gesture!!
Wonderful staffing. Food was very good.
I would like to preface this by saying the only reason this place is getting 2 stars is because of Nurse Laurel and Dr.Ouyang who were patient, kind, and helpful so thank you to them. Nurse Laurel really seems to care about her job and made us feel like she really cared about what was going on and wanted to help. I arrived at the hospital with my partner 1/9/23 8:30ish pm who was having shortness of breath, blurred vision, and could barely stand on her own. I explain this to the front desk lady brunette, glasses asking to get someone out here to help & she continues talking to whoever is in front of her and someone doesn’t come out for about 3 minutes. She then asked me for ID/insurance and seemed to be more concerned with paperwork and less concerned with a life at stake. By this point my partner is laying on the floor of the ER, when the nurse arrives without urgency I may add she says “I can’t pick her up”. UNBELIEVABLE! No assistance, no wheel chair, nothing. I the untrained civilian helped her up and into a room to sit down. She ran a EKG and took BP then sat us in the waiting room with no supervision for 1 hour if not longer before a room became available. Ultimately I thank God it was not something serious, because I would have received inadequate care from people with no sense of urgency. When someone is complaining of shortness of breath and blurred vision I would think it would be a top priority and taken more seriously. The icing on the cake is when I was leaving I asked the front desk lady the name of the nurse who first ‘helped’ us and she said “for a good thing or bad thing” before giving her name she said Shannon, but the nurse had blonde hair on top and black/dark brown on bottom if that is not her name. Patients are entitled to know the names of people providing them with healthcare services. Next time I will take the risk to make it to any other nearby ER before I choose to go back to this one. These people need to be investigated/keep a close eye on because the next mistake could cost someone their life!!!
