TGI Fridays

Description

In Manhattan in 1965, there was no place where people could go out to meet friends and make new ones in an environment that was at once both relaxed and yet exciting. Then, Alan Stillman opened Fridays as a way, he said, “to meet Pan Am stewardesses.” Suddenly, there was a place with great food, new and exciting drinks and an electric energy. A place where bartenders mixed the environment just as well as they mixed drinks. In short, a place like nowhere else. Today, Fridays in Auburn Hills, MI is still America’s most iconic bar and grill. We embrace and celebrate our heritage as a bar. One that just happens to serve killer food in an environment where it’s always Friday.

"TGI Fridays reputation as the best corner bar in town started in Manhattan in 1965—and it continues today right here in Michigan where we’ve been serving up good times in Auburn Hills. Food was awesome. Got the new seasonal shrimp and pasta scampi and red velvet cake with vanilla bean ice cream. Both tasted great. Service was somewhat not good. When we walked in, host could not be found. Had to look around for them before someone came up to seat us. Waitress was very nice but waited a long time for our food with us just sitting there playing with our phones. When I thought the food was ready and coming to us, the waitress only came to inform me that they had no more salmon. How can a big chain restaurant run out of something that is featured on their menu. My husband said their men's bathroom was nasty and filthy. And I agree, it was the same with the women's bathroom. Everything you touch was sticky even though it looks clean it was still sticky. I feel this throughout the whole restaurant, from the seats to the tables to the bathrooms. This place has gone done hill since the last time I visited 5 years ago. Sorry TGIFridays, I won't be coming back to this location.
I am not one to complain, but I have to keep it real...this is NOT the place to go for HOT[for butter to melt] meal or drink [at the high rates they charge], especially if you have small request like lemon in your water or no chocolate on dessert[they end up giving you a spoon w/handle covered in sticky chocolate sauce]. No wonder it was empty. On positive note the Server Lady was friendlyish
I haven’t had Fridays in so long because the ones in Ohio are slowly leaving. This morning I visited this location before I got on the road. It was empty which was awesome, but long story short my waitress was friendly and I gave her a pass on not checking on us as much because it was early and there was stuff that still needed to be done. My food was good, I was simple today I ordered the Whiskey-Glazed Sampler. It was prepared good, the only thing about the chicken tenders are that they can be hard in certain areas. I love a fluffy chicken tender and when I put fluffy I mean meaty with the right amount of crunch. The sauce is almost like a sweet and spicy flavor, me personally the heat isn’t overwhelming so that’s a plus for the people who isn’t a big fan of spicy. Everything was good, I ate my shrimp so fast I was sad once I realized they were gone. The ribs were tender and the fries were fresh and crunchy. I would recommend this location and get there early because who doesn’t want Fridays for breakfast!
Went yesterday for a graduation dinner and it was also my first time going to a TGI Fridays. The food was excellent. I ordered the Fridays Combo with potstickers and the chicken quesadillas. The food was hot, fresh and tasty. I was also impressed with how the wait staff assisted with our group about 15-20. They made sure all of our needs were met. Thank you for a great first impression.
Our server was awesome. We were checked on consistently the food was hot and delicious. Highly recommend.
Service was good and great atmosphere. Although, my lemon garlic shrimp pasta did bust a nut. Also, my sisters chicken was lacking donuts so...
The ribs and salmon was burned! It was extremely hard and dry! I I was so disappointed! The shrimp in the pasta was cooked until it was hard. The manager, Eric, was very rude over the phone. When I returned the food, another manager, Chris, was very apologetic and said that the food never should have gone out! I saw some friends from work and they were also complaining about the food, as well! I must say the food is usually very good!!! I guess it was not a good day for them!
Ordered take out again and received an incorrect order again. I asked for a medium bacon cheeseburger and received a medium rare almost rare one. French dip was missing the dip. Cold chicken. Soggy pretzels. Everything was cold and I showed up in 20 mins like they asked to pick it up. I'd give them another shot if this wasn't the third time this has happened to me and my friends. Poor service and quality. Auburn Hills Fridays. Can't call and let them know because they don't accept phone calls.
Wow! I now can feed everyone in the family for one price. This restaurant is definitely competing on an elite level. If you haven't been to TGI Friday's lately you gotta check them out
The salad and Veggie burger were ok but nothing special. I ordered a beer and the waiter brought me s van and when I opened it in front of the waiter it overflowed all over the table like a pop can that was shook up. The waiter just stood there looking shocked for about 5 seconds before going to get napkins. He handed them to me and walked away.
