TGI Fridays

About

Best Corner Bar In White Plains. The party starts here.

Description

In Manhattan in 1965, there was no place where people could go out to meet friends and make new ones in an environment that was at once both relaxed and yet exciting. Then, Alan Stillman opened Fridays as a way, he said, “to meet Pan Am stewardesses.” Suddenly, there was a place with great food, new and exciting drinks and an electric energy. A place where bartenders mixed the environment just as well as they mixed drinks. In short, a place like nowhere else. Today, Fridays in White Plains, NY is still America’s most iconic bar and grill. We embrace and celebrate our heritage as a bar. One that just happens to serve killer food in an environment where it’s always Friday.

Staff are super friendly and helpful. Ordered a potato twist which was very yummy. Also ordered a spicy pasta with chicken and shrimp and a mixed plate of ribs and fried shrimps. The crispy fried shrimps was really good. The location was convenient as it is right next to City Centre with ample parking spaces. Restaurant wasn’t very busy when we went and seating was comfortable. Would recommend.
I order a take out on my way to work. But it’s was the worst $23 I ever spent like the ribs was extremely hard like I couldn’t eat it. Like who prepare these stuff give someone. Just horrible literally
I am not one to put this energy out there but this Saturday I went and had a challenging experience. I want to start by saying how amazing our waitress was. She went above and beyond for myself and my boyfriend during the evening. I had ordered the Whiskey Chicken tenders as my dish. It came out with a hair on the plate. The waitress right away took it and put in for a new one. I got the new plate and one bite later.... there was a long hair wrapped around one of the tenders. I have ever had hair in my food to this extreme before. The waitress handled it in an amazing way and took the food off the order. What I was not happy about was the lack of customer service from management who never came over to check on the situation in the first place nor when it was a recurring issue. Unfortunately we will not return to this establishment. I hope this review will be an awareness to management and of course gratitude towards the waitress who made a bad experience not completely bad.
I’ve gone to two Friday’s before in NJ and the Palisades Mall and this restaurant is definitely not worth coming to. Last night 11/21, we waited an entire 15 minutes to be seated. We asked multiple employees to help us and they tried to get other employees to attend to us but then, they continued to do other tasks around the restaurant. Terrible customer service. I’m sure this establishment states this will be reviewed by management but I highly doubt they take these reviews seriously enough. There are other restaurants near by, thankfully, go to one of those.
I never like to post reviews and always had good experience at White Plains Fridays previously with eating in and/or ordering take out. However, I went on Saturday 11/19/2022 with my family around 9:30PM and the service was terrible! Our waiter wasn't attentive to us at all and didn't check if we need any refills, if our food came out ok or if we need anything else. He was too busy working the bar vs tending to the tables. Also, to top it off the kitchen forgot 1 order and then it took forever to get it to the point we just had to tell our waiter to just wrap it up so we can just leave already, by the time we left it was already 11! It seems the moment the manager left the staff let loose and was having a party by blasting music and just hanging out in the kitchen. If a restaurant is going to stay open this late then the staff should work the same as they will during the day its not fair to customers who come late to have dinner that they get this kind of service.
Spent 85 dollars on a meal for two people and was not happy with the potato skins and chicken parmesean alfredo. I should have asked for a refund will never visit this place again. Server was pleasant but was surprised how fast the appetizers and meal arrived its like they had it pre made and just heated it up. Should have spoke up but didn't want to cause a scene in front of my son.
The food here is either a hit or miss. When it hits, it’s great. When dining in, wait times for a refill are almost always way too long than needed. Staff are usually great.
My husband and I went to TGI Fridays white plains for dinner this evening. When we asked about seating the person seating us stated they are only seating patrons in one section, however when patron of a different race came in they were all seated in another section... it appeared this young lady was practicing segregation.... We sat for an hour and watched this occur twice. After one hour of the nonsense and our order not being taken we left... We went to the TGI Fridays on central ave and had a wonderful experience thanks to Sigorney.... I will never frequent TGI Fridays in white plains again!!!!!
I visited this location for lunch and I'd say the service snd food were both ok. The restaurant was freezing and it was a bit difficult to get our waiter's attention. I had the million dollar cobb salad and the steak was supposed to be medium. The steak was medium well-well and was very chewy. The sweet potato fries weren't anyrhing over the top, but they were ok. The restaurant offered good value for money and the portions were good.
I was left standing without being offered a seat for too long, despite very few guests present and several employees within sight in the dining room. A hostess finally approached after another guest had entered behind me. She then assisted the guest who had just entered, even when I had been waiting for 5 minutes or, perhaps, longer, before finally offering me a seat nevermind the rather obvious fact that our floor positions gave away the sequence in which we had entered. There was no effort to justify or offer apology for my wait. One could rationalize that the hostess had simply overlooked details and not observed my entry, and this might indeed be justifiable, but this would not be the end of my exceptionally mediocre experience. After ordering a Cajun pasta, it was delivered, complete with a small, sad breadstick floating partially submerged in a pool of sauce on one side, by the same person. She turned and walked away too quickly for me to inquire if this was the normal configuration. When I pointed it out to my waiter and asked if I might have a replacement of just the breadstick, I was told that I would be charged. Eventually, after pressing a little further, a non-soggy one was delivered, which I appreciated, but one should not have to press for simple corrections to such trivial problems. The entire encounter here was an unpleasant one because there was so little effort to provide a comfortable or satisfying experience by staff. One extra star because a correction was eventually given. That is all; carry on everyone.
