The hotel is great! The staff are very nice, all of them! With a toddler and a baby, we requested an early check in, we were in by 1pm. Also requested a fridge, and we got that too. Room spacious and clean. There were goodies which my toddler enjoyed. Pool was nice too, they even have swim diapers there! We did the in room dining for breakfast, loved the waffles and the eggs benedict. Pleasant stay overall. Oh and Starbucks nearby and the mall, nice area.
Beautiful rooms and wonderful service. Amazing tub and shower. I do wish the rooms had more outlets, for all the devices that need to be charged these days! I love the scent of the shower gel and shampoo! I grab them all whenever I stay. Pool is Great, even had a few toys for the kids! Service in the restaurant area is a bit slow though. Love that they have a game room and mini library for the kids.
The entire staff is very hospitable. Valet and doorman greeted me right away. Concierge was very pleasant and was able to send me a floor fan to my room straight away. My room was spacious with a beautiful bathroom and very comfortable bed. Ordered room service at 2300, received it in 20 mins and the portions were huge. The gym has just enough equipments for a quick workout. Hotel is walking distance to many shops and bars.
Great staff, great location - room definitely needs updating or a "refresh" - missing and broken furniture, not the greatest cleaning service. What this hotel lacks in the room, definitely makes up in service. The most wonderful and attentive staff. Really "above and beyond" service from beginning to end.
Had a great weekend stay at this property. I arrived around 11am, and they allowed me for early check-in. And top it off, they upgraded to one bedroom suite because my room wasn’t ready yet. Also as a titanium member, I was able to ask for late check out till 4pm. Also, it was interesting to see swimming diapers prepared for babies at the swimming pool. One last comment I have is they only have valet parking, and it’s $30 per day.
The Ritz-Carlton is legendary, and the White Plains hotel deserves that status. The people are extraordinary and go out of their way to help in every way imaginable. Decor is superb. The fitness facilities are beautiful, with a wonderful perfectly-heated swimming pool - not great for athletic laps but perfect for leisure. That said, a couple of issues during this stay lead to four stars instead of five. First and foremost, Lobby Lounge service was very slow. Dinner took nearly 2 hours, mainly because of waiting to get menus and order. For breakfast, it took 15 minutes for someone to come, give us menus, and take our order. Second, there was confusion about whether property credits apply to the restaurant on the first floor - they don't, that restaurant is completely separate. Third, our room had no view at all, it looked across a 20 foot alley into what looked like offices. Forth, there were no recycle bins in our room, and I didn't see any in the whole hotel - so 20th century! Generally we had a great stay, but sorry, 4 stars this time. Maybe they'll have recycle bins - and sufficient staffing in the Lobby Lounge - next time.
Great overnight with my BFF! The room was large and nicely appointed. The bathroom was spacious and super clean. Dinner at the restaurant and lunch in the lobby was tasty!! Service was wonderful. My only complaints are that the drawer containing the safe fell out of the dresser almost onto my foot, which isn't very safe!, we didn't get turn-down service, there were no slippers in the room, and the spa relaxation room needs a refresh there are stains on the carpet and chairs. We had a great time though!
We stayed overnight & 4 stars for the staff! They went out of their way to not only accommodate us but, go 10 extra miles! A shout out to David at the front desk! Thank you. The property needs a serious upgrade, it's not Ritz standards by any means. The rooms are old, bedding basic, the carpets stained & worn out. The bathrooms are updated though. The coffee maker in the room, isn't a nespresso or the like, just an old school single coffee sachet thingy. The lobby lounge is small, we were lucky to have made tea reservations so we got a seat by the fireplace for afternoon tea. The tea was good, sandwich filling plentiful & delish - although I've never seen cookies served at afternoon tea...
Great location, service and rooms. Staff is very friendly. Wifi to the room is charged at $12/day for non-members. Lobby is free. Food at the restaurant is good. Rooms are quite big and has pretty much everything a traveller would expect. Overall the stay was very comfortable.
I was in a suite... nice room... could have been cleaner especially the carpet, shower and bathroom door . Room had a scent not sure what it was... did not care for it, it was unpleasant. View was a brick wall on one side. ..much to be desired...other window was the street below. Very comfortable beds...all white and clean everything...black lighted so I know...would go back and reccomend. Very nice staff... all of them!
