The Bar At Tajugues
"Tujague's is the second oldest, continually running restaurant in New Orleans. This French Quarter institution has been serving traditional New Orleans cuisine to locals and visitors alike for more than 160 years. Menu items such as the Gulf Fish Pontchartrain and the Creole Turtle Soup meld French traditions with New Orleans fare and flare. Tujague's famous five course menu is still served nightly; but have no fear, the menu is no longer pre-fixe, so those less ravenous diners can join in too. If you want a quintessential New Orleans experience filled with history and local fare, Tujague's is your place."

Tonight's Coolinary was at Tujague's Restaurant, and it was AMAZING! BBQ shrimp, pork schnitzel with spaetzle and blueberry cobbler with homemade vanilla bean ice cream. I had a grasshopper too grasshopper too . The ambiance is awesome, the service was great, and the food quality was excellent. I highly recommend it when you visit New Orleans.
The manager was awesome! He made room for our group of 20. The staff was amazing! The food was delicious. Staff kept our drinks filled and gave great recommendations. The turtle soup was delicious. BBQ shrimp was so flavorful. We ordered from the Coolinary menu. My son had the Schnitzel with a vinegar slaw on top. I had the Gulf Oyster and Tasso Pappardelle spinach pasta. Which was so delicious. I did need some salt for the noodles. Highly recommend. Hubby had the grilled pompano. He said it was very good. The best dessert was the cobbler. Let not forget the bread and butter before dinner. Butter balls had a hint of lemon. So refreshing. High recommend! We will be back!
Always an amazing place we visited at the end of the lunch time which they close up to re coup. The table that we were set next to kept a loud conversation about really crude topics. The service was most definitely amazing and the food fanominal!Food: 5/5
This is a beautiful and stunning place in the heart of lively New Orleans. I enjoyed the Gumbo, delicious crabs in garlic sauce, as well as bread pudding. The food was extraordinary good. The same as the very attentive and friendly service. As per locals, one of the oldest restaurants in New Orleans. Definitely a place worth to visit...
Service here was on point. Our waitress was attentive. Resturant is clean and has a nice atmosphere. Our main courses was a little underwhelming. Our appetizer was delicious. We had the pork belly. It was covered in a sweet sauce that pair well with the corn that was on the side of it. Balanced out well. The prosciutto wrapped scallops were good, with a cranberry like sauce under them. The duck breast could be cooked better. The skin was not rendered well, which left it a bit greasy. Overall we had a good experience and would try other dishes here. Our cocktails were crafted well. My new favorite drink in NOLA is the Pimms Cup.
Hands down one of the best meals I have had in a long time. Absolutely everything was delicious. The meat was cooked perfectly steak, shrimp, scallops, the veggies were delightful, desert was amazing... everything was great.
I really like this location much more than the old one. Spacious and with Gallery dining available on request. The food and service are very good and they make fantastic cocktails. Try the Grasshopper for a treat, good enough for desert. A really nice place to enjoy a meal. Parking: Paid lots across the street. The French Quarter is pretty small and easily walkable. Most hotels have parking and leaving the vehicle there and walking or Uber is much easier.
This was hands down one of the top 3 restraunts we enjoyed while in New Orleans! We were able to take advantage of their NOLA Coolinary Eating special event while we were in town! The New Orleans Barbeque Shrimp was amazing, then 2nd course was the Grilled Gulf Pompanao which we thought was gonna be sausage and it turned out to be fish it was amazing. For our 3rd and final course we enjoyed the Creme Brulee which was absolutely delicious as well! The service here was outstanding and the 5 star environment was greatly appreciated and exactly what would be expected from a 5 star restraunt. The establishment was clean and well kept with a light jazz atmosphere. The personal environment was nice and easy to be romantic is so chosen. While there was not a dress code required it is definitely a place to get dressed up and enjoy the evening! This is a pricey restraunt and should be treated as such as the quality of food and environment is also high class! Kid-friendliness: They were able to accommodate children but did not have a kids menu I was aware of. Parking: There are numerous parking spots available on the street and in lots. While I do reccomend flying in and walking everywhere it can be accessed by street parking or lot parking up the street. There is no direct restraunt parking or valet I am aware of. Wheelchair accessibility: This facility is wheel chair accessible and can accommodate access.
I had a lovely meal at this bistro. The location is convenient to walk to from area hotels and attractions. The atmosphere is elegant and intimate. The service is friendly and efficient. The food was very tasty. I enjoyed the mushroom crepes as an appetizer and the fish as an entree. It was a light and flavorful meal.
3/14/23 AMAZING food and service! What luck....popped in here when it started to rain, sat in the bar area. Can't compliment this establishment enough. Really enjoyed the evening, Anthony's drinks were Devine, a true craftsman!
