The Bend

About

theBEND IS AN OPPORTUNITY

At the intersection of history and beauty, we’ll offer a place along the Ashley River to gather.

A place to celebrate, to commune, to learn and to connect – The Bend will offer an array of experiences.

Description

The Bend is open to the public for special activities and gatherings that highlight local music, conservation, recreation, arts and culture. The Bend team is proud to offer a free, solar-powered Wi-Fi connection to all our visitors.

The Bend was purchased and renamed by locally owned The Pearlstine Company in 2014. The property is 17 acres on the banks of the Ashley River with a rich history dating back to the 1600s.

More recently known as Ashley Shores, the property has been cleared and is being restored to its natural beauty while it awaits a new master plan. By embracing the local communities and the scenic and natural setting of the Lowcountry, The Bend strives to create a plan that balances the interests of a larger community with a mindfully envisioned project.

The bend was actually a really nice location for a large event. We went for the Holy Smokes festival and honestly it was a great fit for it. There was ample parking and the views were nice. That was my first time there but it was actually a really cool spot to see live music and have a festival.
Awesome outdoor venue here in N Charleston. Covid protocols and procedures were well done. Staff was mostly friendly and helpful. Sound was amazing.
Great venue! No visible handicapped or bike parking nor recycling program in place. Great Culinary Charity Event with great food.
Had a great time at the Blue Jamboree! Was a honor to meet Presidential Candidate Andrew Yang!
What a tremendous concert venue. The setting is idyllic right on the Ashley River. The idea of having squares that are cordoned off is brilliant. The Ordering of drinks via phone with contactless delivery was smooth and efficient. If you want to hear great live music in a gorgeous setting, get your tickets for the concerts that are held here and sponsored by the Charleston Music Hall. Also, I must mention that the parking was tremendous. Overall a fantastic experience.
What a lovely venue. I attended the Mimosa Festival!
Great music venue and their Thursday jamfest just keeps getting better & better!
Great set up for the Mimosa Festival. Space was perfect for the event. They had good procedures in place to get us in fast. They also had a lot of port a loos which are priority for such an event! Would love to come back again!
Fabulous venue for outdoor concerts!
Good concert but many issues on the management front: 1 staff didn't seem to care about mixing and moving between squares. Positive or negative depending how you look. 2 no way to order water without using smartphone. So if your battery dies you are begging neighbors to order you water.... no water to refill a bottle. Seems unsafe. 3 if you take an Uber it is a nightmare for pickup. Police directing traffic just made it worse 4 ground is only 20% grass mixed with rocks. Strongly recommend a chair as no amount of blankets will be comfortable
