Awesome place to meet up with friends, have a reasonably priced & carefully-crafted drink, or see a show. Seasonal drinks and rotating specialty cocktails are a must here. If you’re a performer, the stage is raised, a great size for audience engagement— and the sound crew has your back. It was awesome to feature here for Bloomington Poetry Slam/ National Poetry Month. Thanks for being such an awesome venue.

Nice place to have a drink with friends. Cheap, with nice people. PhDs from IU meet there sometimes. Most of all, you can smoke outside and nobody looks at you with a mix of pity and disgust.

Nerdy, tight knit, elder millenial vibe. I can definitely see how some ppl would really enjoy this place. I've experienced an unusual amount of mansplaining from the patrons but the bar staff is cool. Not my fave but ppl wanting to avoid the frat scenes might enjoy. I feel like if you can have a conversation about Tolkein's personal life, you'll feel at home here.

The Bishop is awesome. Great space, great employees, and the owner is wonderful as well. Plus, live music! Can't go wrong. Especially on a Wednesday. Pint Night has introduced me to beers I love but never considered before out of fear that I wouldn't like them and never wanted to waste a pretty penny to find out. But it's worth it at Pint Night, makes it easier to be exploratory and not just rest on the "tried and true." shake it up a little, let Pint Night be your guide!

Great beer selection and affordable price for broke grad students! Also, very cozy and chill vibe to hang out with friends. Much less noisier than other bars.

I have always loved this place but can someone please manage the website a little better? My friends were playing a farewell show there the other night, and the website said the show was 18+. I decided to take a friend along who’s under 21 and make the hour and a half drive down. We got there and were told that even though the website said 18+, it was still a 21+ show…. so we just turned around and drove back home. I went there many many times when I was under 21 and just had Xs put on my hands. I feel like if you’re going to make that kind of mistake you should just oh I don’t know, make it an 18+ show?? Very upset I didn’t get to see my friends play for the last time ever.

Bartenders were nice. The place was packed but still had room the squeeze on the very narrow patio. Taco truck right out front is an added bonus. Cheap but strong drinks. Good musical acts coming in the future. Ill be back.

A very nice quiet place to meet friends for drinks. The bar has a relaxing atmosphere and a good selection of drinks to choose from. It is a small venue though so get in early.
