Absolutely lovely stay over Labor Day weekend with friends. We reserved a two bedroom suite that comfortably slept 5 of us and we were able to bring along our puppy! Breakfast was provided every morning including delicious donuts. The room, pool and grounds were very clean and well kept. The nearby beaches were lovely. We especially enjoyed spending time at the wineries and in the town of Greenport, which was only 5 minutes away by car. Lots of great restaurants and shops to explore and the views from the harbor were amazing!! Will definitely be back, thank you for a fantastic end-of-summer weekend!!
This is a nice hotel and a great value compared to what some others charge in wine country. The rooms need some update but still very comfortable and clean and the kitchen is stocked with everything you need which was a nice plus. There is also a nice outdoor pool for the kids can enjoy. The cleaning staff stops cleaning the rooms after 12pm but all we needed were some clean towels which we simply asked for. I recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Greenport area.
In town for a family weekend wedding. We had a second floor room that was very comfortable and clean. The rooms on the second floor of the motel portion of the inn have vaulted ceilings which make the rooms feel even more spacious. The bed and linens were comfortable and we slept well during our two night stay. Occasionally, the breeze brought the scent of lavender from the grower who's fields abutt the property. With that said, not sure I would plan to stay here again in the future due to the manager's lack of hospitality. We felt that the manager seemed irritated during our check in and several people in our group commented that they had the same experience. The fact that she was unable to recommend a good lunch spot in the area seemed a bit ridiculous. With so many places to stay in the Orient Point area, being easy going and helpful should be a top priority for a hotel manager.
What a great place! We were two couples and stayed two nights. Wish we could have stayed longer! Mary O'Brien, the General Manage,r checked us in early and was very kind and accommodating. The rooms were clean and updated and all the appliances worked perfectly. The pool was delightful and the grounds are so clean and well kept. Will be coming back for sure.
What can we say? My husband and I cannot say enough about this place. The rooms are clean as well as the whole facility ..The bed is the most comfortable bed we've ever slept on....and Mary and Linda and TK have been nothing but kind as they always have been. We actually feel more like family than a guest. Michael and I have not nothing negative to say regarding our stay at the blue Inn....thank you always for your kindness and we can't wait to see you all again... God bless..
Stayed here for a short while to check out the beaches, restaurants, and more. Location wise, it's difficult to walk anywhere but if you have a bike or a car everything is mere minutes away. The rooms themselves are nicely furnished, the other guests are pleasant, and the pool is a good backup plan if you don't want to leave the grounds. Really nice spot. My ONLY complaint is that damn Lavender picking farm next door. It's the bane of my existence. Cars piled back for miles waiting in line to go pick lavender or something. AND IT'S ON THE WAY TO THE INN! Sure, it smells nice, and yes, it's a super popular attraction, but god damn! I just wanna get back to my room! Good thing there are so many vineyards along the way.
I just returned home from a 5 day stay at the Blue Inn and I'm already planning to go back in August. Mary the general manager was wonderful and linda and staff were the best. I have so many good things to say about the place and the staff it would take too much space to write it all. My room was perfect , clean and charming in every way, and the bed gave me the best nights sleep . Also the Inn is right next door to the Lavender fields and the scent is delightful and soothing. Can't wait for my return trip.
We stayed here for a week over 4th of July. Rooms were clean. AC worked great and even though we didn't need it, it is nice to have a kitchen when staying for a long time. We were supposed to all stay together my husband and our two boys, 14&12 but they decided to have work done on a staircase and instead gave us two rooms in the cottages. It worked out ok but definitely was a different arrangement and my husband and I had to split rooms since we couldn't have the boys staying by themselves. Each room had a full bed and a twin bed. The people working on the stairs started early, 7 am, and you don't want to hear a saw at that time. We never used the pool or ate the breakfast. Went for happy hour once but it was closed. I would stay again but I would make sure the reservation we paid for is the one we get lady who works at the front desk is very nice and accommodating. Overall it's a nice addition to East Marion, very pretty and within walking distance of the lavendar field, deli and farm stand.
I got in at 4am... had to get up at 730 to deliver one piece fiberglass pool down the street. Realizing I had the key I stopped back to drop it off. The girl behind the desk saw that I was super tired and said go lay down in the room for a few hours... don't worry about any money, she said get some rest.. so after laying down I handed in key still tired and she handed me 2 red bulls... Awesome service and so polite... room was nice and bed was so comfortable!!! Great little spot!!! Kudos
We were coming to the area to do some work which required us to us the Plum Island Ferry. We evaluated the chains that were about 45 miles away but stumbled upon The Blue Inn doing our search. They were reasonably priced compared to the chains and in a great spot between the ferry and Greenport where most of the food is located. We stayed in the "motel" portion of the Inn with two double beds, small table with two chairs, kitchenette, and bathroom/shower. When I travel for business I look for four things: Hot Water, Comfy Bed, Wifi, and Clean. The Blue Inn provided these items without any issues. It was cold and rainy when there, so the hot shower was a relief in the evening. The bed was a little soft for me, but it was still comfy. If you are a belly sleeper, it may not be firm enough, but for a side and back sleeper, it was good. The room HVAC unit maintained a comfortable temperature through the night very little noise. The bathroom and shower were very clean. While I didn't use the stove in the kitchen, it was also clean. The wifi that was provided was good, but you could tell when the rooms got full because it slowed down, but never became unusuable. Heck, it was better than what my AT&T Fiber provides at home. Mary and Linda were beyond friendly and the people I traveled with even commented on their level of service. Summary: Clean, comfortable, great price, perfect location and incredible service. Very happy we picked here to stay for business
