The Book Store was opened by the Marilyn and Hank Louwerens in the historic old King Building. It was then taken over by her daughter Liz and Dave Sinclair. In May of 2013, the Kevin and Barbara Chilcutt family took over operations after Liz retired. The Book Store operated in a 2200 square foot building listed on the National Registry of Historic Places down the street from nearly perfectly round Lake DeFuniak. The Book Store features new and used books. In April of 2016 we moved to 27 S. 7th Street, still in the Historic Downtown.
We can place special orders. We also have a few gifts and collectibles. The Book Store has a small Christian bookstore and we can order to your needs.
We offer used mysteries, westerns, sci-fi, history, local history, romance, adventure, children s, teens, fantasy, educational, supernatural, self improvement and much more.
