My daughter has been attending Clariden since Kindergarten and I can't say enough great things about this school! She is now a freshman and I have seen her grow into an amazing student. Her confidence and love for learning is directly related to the amazing faculty at Clariden. She loves the project-based learning because it gives her real world challenges to explore and solve individually and also in a team based approach. Thank you Clariden for the FABULOUS job you continue to do!!!!!
As a former teacher, it was an absolute joy working at The Clariden School. The faculty and staff are professional, enthusiastic, and caring. The teachers have a true love of learning that is reflected in the students. The students are given unique opportunities to explore their world and push the limits of learning through small class sizes and innovated curriculum. The campus is welcoming with a natural and nurturing environment. It was a an honor to teach for such a respectable school. I wish The Clariden family the very best!
The Clariden School community has been instrumental in helping my daughter develop to her fullest potential, not just academically, but also socially and physically. My daughter loves Mrs. Myers and the warm classroom family, and is actually disappointed on weekends when she doesn't get to go to school when she wakes up! In the Cougar Prep Pre-school, she has enjoyed lots of indoor and outdoor play-based learning, where she has learned to cooperate with classmates, practiced being in leadership roles, and used tons of imagination, all while getting the movement that her growing body needs to be healthy. The project-based academic program teaches math and literacy skills in such an authentic way, my daughter didn't even realize she had become a reader until I pointed out to her that she was reading and writing real words. I work in the field of education and see schools across the country striving to achieve what The Clariden School does so well. We are so blessed to have this school so close to home.
The Clariden School program for middle school is wonderful and my son has really thrived. He used to hate to go to school in the public system but now tells me he would rather be at school than home. Wonderful education, teachers, head teacher, environment and most of all makes learning an enjoyable experience for students.
We've had our child at Clariden since 2011. We choose to return every year because we love the supportive environment. It provides our child with constant opportunities to explore topics in-depth and hands-on with technology, field study and team project work which really brings the subjects to life in a way I wish was available when we were growing up. Small classes and amazing teachers thank you Ms. Gibson & Ms. Todd create a community where the kids are kind, confident and help mentor one another. Ms. Wells - head of school - is a remarkable, energetic presence in the school. Not only is she dedicated to delivering innovative and engaging curriculum the students can't wait for the "big reveal" each year for next year's projects, competitions & travel, but she's also genuinely dedicated to knowing each student and helping them find & use their voice to advocate for what they need. I get asked all the time about why we choose private school when we live in a good school district. My answer is easy -- the caliber of the curriculum has students constantly challenged to reach beyond their grade level, to innovate, problem solve, and develop critical thinking; to develop the confidence to actively collaborate in team projects, to know themselves and how to gain mastery and communicate that knowledge in ways that many adults can't; in essence: to be academically prepared AND mature enough in their own self confidence to succeed in college and the innovation research & development careers ahead of them.
Never heard of project based learning til I learned about The Clariden School. In a few words, it's just the best way to make the lessons permanent in a child's brain. It's hands on and up to date technology approach they work with robotics and 3d printing! keeps kids engrossed in the diverse activities that the school offers. My DD attends Pre-K only 3 days a week and she never ceases to amaze me with her growth in vocabulary and so many interesting subjects that could well challenge the game show "Are you smarter than a 5th grader". Just 3 years old and she can write her name!! I also love how much they promote creativity and self expression and value the little differences that makes us unique individuals. But above all, love, joy and respect is spread throughout the year in every festival, theater play, holiday party, etc.. that makes this "little" school a HUGE part of our family. We extend our gratitude to our DD's teacher, Miss Sabina Stone, for her remarkable work on the children and for her love towards them. Go Cougars!!!
Without Clariden, my son would be failing in a public school where his difficulties were highlighted and his unique talents, uncelebrated. Definitely worth the time, effort, and tuition. He's more prepared for college and has been introduced to more opportunities than he ever would have been without Clariden.
The Clariden School has been wonderful for our son's growth and development. Highly recommend vs. Montessori school or daycare for pre-K3 and 4.
We have just moved to Dallas form UK ,which relocating is hard work alone. I cannot praise this school and all of the staff enough for the love , professionalism and devotion to each child as an individual. My 4 year old boy was assessed comfortably in a relaxed style and was in school 2 days later already knows most of the 20 pets names . If you are moving to the area I give you my word that you wouldnt find a more loving and caring school that just wants to see your child learn and grow. Gail
Wonderful School! Project-based learning that is hands on! Students apply what they have learned. Small class sizes. Beautiful campus. Teachers are fantastic! Under new leadership the past few years that has resulted in lots of positive changes.Highly recommended.
