Columbia SportsPark is a great place to have fun with family and friends. Whether you want to play mini golf, hit some balls in the batting cages, skate in the skate park, or enjoy a snack in the pavilion, there is something for everyone here. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the facilities are well-maintained and clean. The mini golf course is challenging and scenic, with water features and landscaping. The batting cages have different speeds and pitches for baseball and softball. The skate park has ramps, boxes, and rails for skaters of all levels. The snack bar has drinks, ice cream, and snacks to keep you refreshed. The playground is perfect for kids to run around and have fun. The park also hosts parties, events, and rentals for groups of all sizes. I highly recommend Columbia SportsPark for anyone looking for a fun and affordable way to spend a day in Maryland.
I had an amazing time. I took my girlfriend on a date to the park and we had so much fun. We played golf, hit some balls in the batting cages and had great snacks afterwards. The staff was so friendly and the place was just just great all around. We shall be back, soon.
This place has gone completely to hell since the pandemic. #1. They removed all the arcade games. No more Pac-Man, no Donkey Kong, no Galaga, no arcade basketball, no air hockey, no Need For Speed Racing... #2. They eliminated the "All You Can Bat" special. Times are hard, two hours of token-free batting per day couldn't have been costing CA that much in lost profits. Throw us a bone. Change it to one hour a day, weekdays only, whatever! #3. The "new" pitching machines are worse than the old ones. Half of them have been out of order for the last four months. And those that still "work" throw too high even for adults. The old machines used to have manual height adjustment features. #4. The intercom doesn't work anymore, so if there's an issue in the cages it means a long walk to the clubhouse on a hot summer day. #5. No more attendants behind the cages. The tunnel beneath the cage often gets clogged with softballs. You can either clear it yourself, or fetch some kid who will eventually get around to it. #6. The machines often eat your batting tokens or balls fall off the newly installed chutes, counting against your 12 pitches per token. 16 is standard at most batting centers. #7. They removed the TV where we used to watch local sports while eating/drinking snacks that were once reasonably priced. #8. Now a cherry Icee costs almost as much as a Rita's frozen drink. #9. The new decor is sterile, devoid of that former clubhouse atmosphere. It feels more like a CA office facility. And how appropriate, for a facility that used to personify "family entertainment". But now stands as a cynical monument to profits and poor customer service. If you're looking for a good time, look elsewhere. This place is a tomb with a fresh coat of paint.
Cute place to play mini golf with the family or significant other. This a great place to be semi-private, as each separate group can occupy one course at a time.
The staff is amazing and very professional. They were all extremely nice and knowledgeable about the course. The batting cages were great, the kids and I had a lot of fun. Will definitely be coming back.
Well when the skatepark is open, the 2 and 6 foot half pipes are a perfect spot to learn transition skating.
The skatepark is a bit worse for wear. The asphalt surface is rough. And pretty much all the ramps need some maintenance. It's got mellow mini ramp, which is nice to have. The biggest downside is the severely limited hours. It's only open Fridays and Saturdays because they need an attendant to check Columbia association memberships which I have or collect admission. When there are really nice open, concrete parks like shrimptown and laurel, it's hard to give this park a strong recommendation. With some investment and making it more open/available this could be a really nice park.
Course is great! Staff is so friendly and they always have amazing snacks. Been going for years and I’ll keep coming back. Local gem
The review is based solely on customer service and on difficulty of obtaining information, not on the quality of the facility. I am trying to get some basic information for a potential Saturday afternoon private event rental in May 2024. I understand that I cannot book that far out and 2024 prices are unavailable. I am asking for this year’s pricing information in order to scope in or out the venue for a Saturday afternoon event for 120 people. Unfortunately the person I spoke to at the phone number listed on the site is unable or unwilling to provide this information or tell me where to find it. Where can I go for event rental information and pricing, or if someone has rented this out before, please can you share that information? I already filled out the form required.
Great for families with young children. There's an indoor facility with arcade games and junk food/snacks. The 16-hole mini course took my adult group of 9 about an hour to complete. The course itself is very basic, but the price is reasonable. Lots of places for your ball to go into the water, too.
