Upstairs on the deck is a great place to be on a summer afternoon or evening. The staff is so friendly, there are lots of choices for great food and drinks, and the view of the marina and marsh with egrets and other birds is relaxing and beautiful. We go at least once a week!Food: 5/5
The food was good. Our first bartender was great, but it wasn't until I went to pay the check later that the other bartender tried to overcharge us for an order of fried calamari we didn't order. Before handing her the check, I reviewed it for accuracy and knew it was correct. She handed me back my card and the new receipt, and that's when I noticed the bill was like $20 more than it was a minute before. At the bottom of the receipt was a charge for the extra app. When I questioned her about it, she panicked. I asked to see the old receipt, and she commented that she threw it away. I asked her to retrieve it, which she did. It was clearly a case of padding the bill. I wouldn't recommend this place, but if you do go, check your bill before leaving.
Usually just do group appetizers for dinner, but the prime rib was awesome at my last visit. The buffalo shrimp are the reason I return, so good! Outdoor rooftop dining area is a nice setting to enjoy the shrimp!Food: 5/5
If you are looking for that salty coastal rooftop bar, made of weathered wood and smells like summer then this is your spot. Fire the summer it gets a little packed but the bar tenders pour the drinks strong, and the food is just what you expect from a coastal dive. Decent wings, and a good burger. Parking: Plenty of parking
Absolutely great, I been driving this road route one in Westbrook CT for 20 years, I seen this place and I had never wanted to get in I don’t know why, I run out of places to eat on this area, so I decided to get in with some friends, the atmosphere is quiet, the service is just normal, and then I order the appetizers and we had sweet chili peppers wings on the bone and loaded calamari and mussels, the portions of these appetizers were pretty normal/average, but the quality and the flavor and Also presentation was out of this world, then we order, New York strip and barbecue ribs, and a 1 pound burger, the portion of the steak was good. I ordered the steak medium but than they brought to my table medium well it wasn’t bad and it was still juicy, the quality flavor and amount of the ribs was just fabulous I love them, the burger we ordered it medium and they brought to a table medium well and also even like that it was delicious, for dessert we order fried Oreos, and those were oh my God just delicious, we got chocolate cake that was OK, we also got chocolate brownie sundae, our server Was the bartender, Frank he was great, I definitely recommend this place for food, and it seems to be very fun for later at night to have drinks and dance and have a good time with friends.
We had a great experience! The food was phenomenal! Kelsey was the best! And Kim was great too! We had wings which put Archie’s to shame! The stuffed clams were delicious and so reasonably priced! The girls were amazing so friendly. The price of everything blows everywhere else out of the water. Drinks! So appreciated! Order a margarita you won’t be disappointed!
I was referred by coworkers to stop by this place on Wednesday as they have a very appealing special of $.40 cent wings. I sat at the bar and it took 25 mins to take my drink order multiple people came and stood right next to me and got their drinks before me I was asked if I needed a menu and stated clearly I just wanted a beer and wings and a menu was not necessary. The lady at the bar walked away and it wasn’t until a gentleman came about 10’mins later I finally got my drink* I placed an order for wings and fries . I got my fries after about 30’mins but the wings took an hour and 45 minutes …. Multiple groups that came in 30 Minutes after me got their food before me. It wasn’t until I politely asked if food normally takes an hour and 45 minutes that they acted aware of the situation. While the guy seemed sincere the same lady who ignored my drink order initially looked at me and just started laughing once *aware* of the situation. It’s very clear if you aren’t a regular or fit the demographic they serve they will ignore you and not treat you with the same respect . Very outdated principles and sad they abide by them in this day and age. So yeah if you have to read this review do your best to “fit in” or you will be treated like an outcast.
Seemed like a chill place. Walked in and almost empty. Didn't get acknowledged. Sat down at a table. Someone came over to take our order. $26 lobster roll had no taste to it and I bit on a piece of shell. Had to take utensils from another table. No napkins even though I got wings. Not even ketchup on the table. No one came to check on us at all. Won't be back. Waste of money.
I really like that they have the rooftop open in the summer and on Fridays and Saturdays they have a Dj up there playing music. They serve simple drinks and beers. The food is okay, all bar food.Food: 2/5
Food is all over the place in quality and execution, mostly pretty bad. Great views, nice staff, interesting dive / pool / music spot. Great place for a cheap drink and nice view, but look elsewhere for grub.
