We arrived about 11:45 a.m. and there were maybe two other people there. Their spring hours say they open at 11:30 a.m. There is a choice of sitting at a table, the bar or outside. We chose the bar because there was enough room to eat, where some bars have had smaller areas, this one was comfortable enough to eat at. I ordered an Irish cream and coffee with whipped cream. My appetizer was fried calamari and banana peppers, My meal was the lobster roll with fries. I was very happy with it all. My friend ordered the Rhode Island clam chowder and really liked it. I was happy with the pricing and the service. This may be a stop in my future, only saying that because there are so many options out there and I want to continue to try new places. Features: Connecticut suspended mask wearing. I felt comfortable not wearing a mask. I think it helps that I tend to take very good care of myself overall.
Casual patio dining with beautifully prepared food. Not only scrumptious but pleasing to the eye. We were blown away. Also, our server was attentive and friendly. She seems to love her job. Features: We still haven't eaten inside a restaurant since the pandemic. The outdoor seating here provided ample space between tables for us to feel comfortable staying. Other people showed up to eat outside as well and were respectful of space, unlike other restaurants we went to this day and left. We will be back.
We frequent this restaurant often and always have had a great experience! Service is always great and the meals are outstanding. This past visit we had the Spicy Shrimp dinner special with lobster cheddar mashed potatoes and was probably the best shrimp dinner I have ever had. Service was awesome with very friendly and courteous staff and bartender
I came here for dinner with my fiance while in Westbrook and was looking forward to trying the place out based on the reviews. I was also excited to try out their happy hour. Unfortunately they did not offer happy hour anymore since covid. So we got a spot in the dining room and ordered a seafood combo meal with the scallops, clam strips, and a bowl of Rhode Island clam chowder and the crispy brussels. Overall the food was ok, I wish my $7 bowl of soup had more clams, I felt it was almost all potatoes. I also thought the Brussel sprouts were a bit oily as well. Our server was very friendly and the inside was cute. I liked the outside seating a lot.
Everything was delicious and brought out in a timely manner everything that was supposed to be hot was hot and so good, the wings were fist and very delicious, next was the new England clam chowder which had a lot of clams and was very hot so very tasty then our main course I had the fried cod, clam strips and scallops which had a very nice light batter on them everything was cooked perfectly, my girlfriend had the warm lobster roll which was cooked to perfection and was totally loaded with beautiful lobster, her son had the spare rib Mac and cheese which was out of this world best I have had we all tried a bite, then there was the burger cooked perfectly to order and the fries stayed crispy even after an HR ride home cause we did not finish them all. I would have to say everything was perfect for both of there birthdays. The wait staff was very nice and always there if we needed anything. I love this restaurant.
It was great my third time visiting ..the food was great and dessert even better a s'mores cheese cake great service is fabulous ..I recommend this place any day of the week..
Had an apple cinnamon margarita ... sounded odd, but ooooh, sooo good. The fish and chips were amazing. I was part of a large party in early December. I'm not sure if a reservation was made or however we had one waitress who was very attentive. Also, the wait for the food was not long at all. Would definitely return when in Connecticut.
Lobster Roll is served on a hearty and well-buttered bun with perfectly cooked meat. A bit in the pricey side vs portion $21 but such is the random price if these things. But for the interesting, try the Bacon Cod Ruben. A unique combo sandwich with a perfectly soft bun and nice serving of fries $15. I think they could notch up the seasoning a bit more maybe some old bay? but otherwise, I'd still order this again. Cocktails ~$10 are fine and work as a side. Outdoor seating, while the weather lasts, is under a huge tent in a well barricaded parking lot. Came on a Saturday night around 8:30, most tables were full but we were able to sit quickly.
Surprisingly relaxed and comfortable eatery, except the comfort food they offer includes fresh steamed lobster! I wish I'd known of this place years ago. I'll be back.Food: 5/5
Best lobster roll in Connecticut, and the fried clam strips are equally delicious. I like their choice of local beers too. Great place on the coast. If you're on Route 1 you have to stop in!
