The Dennis Inn is a private function facility, not an inn open to the public. We host weddings and receptions, anniversary and birthday parties, holiday events, fundraisers and dinner dance concerts. Beautiful place but the women's bathroom stalls were so small you could barely fit, nevermind go to the bathroom. I felt like I was in a dive bar. Dancing was only allowed inside. Food was great.
I had my wedding here in June, and I honestly don’t have the right words for how amazing this venue was from the very start in looking at venues to the day itself. Everyone here was absolutely awesome, Janene was with me from the very start, she was so attentive and made my vision better than I could’ve imagined! The day itself was far more perfect than I ever thought it could be! Everyone raved about how beautiful the venue was and how amazing the entire day was! Not to mention the food was 10 out of 10! This place is the absolute perfect wedding venue and I would highly recommend it!
The Dennis Inn was an absolutely stunning wedding venue and we are so happy we decided to have our special day here. Lots of other venues on the cape feel like "wedding factories" that just pump out weddings, but the character we found at the Dennis Inn was unmatched They really made us feel like the venue was ours for the weekend and were flexible with anything and everything we wanted to do. On top of that, every staff members is amazing! Janene was such a great coordinator, easy to work with, and made the whole process so much easier! Also, they were extremely flexible with the food - and it was all amazing. I could go on and on..we 100% recommend the Dennis Inn!!
My experience at the Dennis Inn last summer for my niece's wedding was sensational. Not only was the food and ambience outstanding, the serving staff was professional, attentive and first class. The Dennis Inn is absolutely exquisite! Our daughter's wedding reception was held there last July and it was magical in so many ways. The setting was absolutely gorgeous as the hydrangeas were in full bloom and the inn itself and its surroundings are breathtaking. The staff is so pleasant and treats you like family. I can honestly say planning the reception was stress free. Janene was there every step of the way and she did not miss a beat.Treats Catering was also top notch! Tom is such a kind, caring man who went out of his way to help us plan the perfect menu. The presentation was beautiful and the food from the hors d'oeuvres to the entree was delicious. The other staff members were friendly and helpful as well. When we were struggling to get lauren's train pinned up, a staff member came to the rescue and had it done in no time! To this day, many guests tell me this was the Best Wedding Ever! We also had a "Welcoming" Event earlier in the week at the Borsari Gallery which was absolutely wonderful. Another beautiful setting and great food! Janene also helped us plan this event and Treats Catering, led by Tom, executed another amazing menu! Our sincere thanks to Mark and Susan Flanagan, the owners of both venues, and the amazing staff. We will cherish it all forever!
My granddaughter had her wedding here. The staff was so attentive and efficient. Susan was the gal in charge of our affair. She had ever thing timed perfectly. We all enjoyed our 2 evenings there. Rehearsal dinner and the wedding the follow day. My only issue is that it is not handicap accessible. Too many stairs. There are 3 to get to the bathroom. Difficult if you can't do stairs. But otherwise a lovely Inn for any affair.
We just had a wedding at the Dennis Inn. The whole event gets a 5 star rating! All of the staff went above and beyond to take care of every detail and made every guest feel comfortable. Especially Susan. She went above and beyond. Thank you! Rich Dealy
It was all perfect!!! Except... I just attended a wedding here, which was beautiful and full of extras. The actual ceremony was in the back behind the building and the pool. The grass was nicely cut and the flowers were in full boom. We had nice wooden chairs placed in front of an arbor in the back corner. We had several very large tents in the front yard for dinner and toasts. The front yard was nice and flat and the grass was nicely manicured. We had several bar locations and restrooms inside. The restrooms were small, but very clean, and they also had a small basket available with safety pins, bobby pins, sewing kits, mouth wash, deodorant and other "emergency items" that may be needed at a wedding. This wedding was definitely on the "high end". No expense spared and the guest list was 200+. The food was incredible! Salads, steak, fish, potatoes, mixed vegetables, bread and the kids got kid's meals with chicken tenders and tater tots. Hand picked flowers, perfect lighting, wonderful music, games, outdoor dance flooring... It was all amazing... Except... the staff was poor on so many levels. I was not only embarrassed by their lack of professionalism, I felt like they were out of place, like they had been hired the "day of" from whoever answered the Craigslist ad. They were rude for no apparent reason, poorly distributed food, drinks, and hor d'oeuvres, and spent more time in the back yard sneaking smoke breaks than serving the guests. It took an hour and 20 minutes to serve 21 tables. In full disclosure, I didn't speak to one of them, and they didn't do anything directly to me. I was just present to see how they treated others, and appalled by their lack of friendliness and helpfulness. Everything seemed like a chore for them and most acted as though they were forced to be there against their will. Although the wedding director and bar staff were terrific and hustled all night, but her support staff were just not on par. So much so, that guests needed to pitch in and help out. If the staff were better this review would be a 5 star.
We recently held a celebration of life at the Dennis Inn. Working with Mark, Janene, and Tom was a great experience. They were so accommodating and helped us to put on the perfect event. I highly recommend this beautiful venue!
its very hard to be upset on your wedding day, but the dennis inn was not prepared for our reception. During the reception the power went out 3 times during dinner, starting when we bride and groom were walking down the tent isle to be introduced as bride and groom... power out, no lights no music. In addition, it was very hot humid and guests were overheating, I groom asked them to please take down the tent sides to get some breeze, we had to get up from dinner and ask 3x before the 5 minute request was completed. Bottom line it really seemed like they were very unprepared in many aspects of the reception. On a positive note, it was a beautiful venue when the lights were on and the food was great. Everyone had fun because it was a great wedding, but the dennis inn added a lot of unnecessary road bumps that should no one should have to deal with on their wedding day.
