Our ranch is truly dog heaven! Come meet our family-run dog boarding facility at Sherman Valley Ranch. We are happy positive people, we love dogs, and we love what we do! Your dog will be part of the family while staying with us, and will be cared for with affection.
We are in Olympia just off Waddell Creek Road, 20 minutes from Black Lake. We Offer the following:
-Half day, full day, or extended stay care
-Hygienic kennel facility within a beautiful 12,000 square foot barn
-25 acres of breathtaking scenic ranch setting
-Large roomy kennels with attached grass cyclone fenced safe dog runs
-Indoor/outdoor individual kennels that are connected (can be opened to outdoor access or closed off as needed)
-Heated and are conditioned kennels
-Cement floor for cleanliness, but with cushy rubber mats inside each individual kennel
-Assessment of your dog's personality and their stay planned to meet their needs
-One-on-one personalized attention
-Bedding, fleece, blankets provided (however you can bring your own if you would like)
-Your food fed as you instruct, as well as your dog's favorite treats if desired
-Just inside Capitol Forest near 92,000 acres of trails to walk with your dog
-Daily exercise provided
-Games of fetch
-Medication administration if needed
-You can rest assured knowing all dogs staying at our ranch are required to be up to date on vaccinations and flea treatments

If you’re looking for a place for your dog to take a vacation while you’re away - then look no further. Destiny offers 5 star services for your four legged bestie! Not only does Destiny take care of your pet like her own, she shares updates with photos and videos. The dogs get lots of time to play and socialize. She also customizes playtime based on each dogs personally. Need to give your pets daily meds? They’ll administer them at no additional cost! I honestly could go on about all the awesome things that Destiny and her team have to offer, but you should really check it out yourself! I highly recommend the Dog Lodge for anyone looking for a great place to board their pet!
Not only do does Sherman Valley Ranch have a dog kennel, but you can also board horses and book weddings. Very beautiful and majestic place. Pam is AWESOME!
An amazing facility run by an amazing family! I highly recommend the Dog Lodge at Sherman Valley Ranch. Located on a beautiful property with a pond and horses they also board horses. Excellent communication while we were on vacation. Photo updates. Made us feel completely at ease. Thank you Destiny, for everything you've done for a Karma and us!
Destiny took care of our two labs for a week. The property is gorgeous, and the facilities are clean and well maintained. Reasonably priced. Destiny updated us throughout the week with pics which was very nice! Will use The Dog Lodge again.
Nice facility in the forest. Clean kennels, plenty of room, some nice common areas, and they seem to have a real concern for the health and welfare of the dogs. In early 2018 we left our dog here for about 5 days, her first time in a kennel, and all went well.
I boarded my two dogs here for a week. The owner was very accomodating to their special needs and medications. She kept in touch with me with pictures and updates. When my return was delayed, she worked with me to figure out extra boarding time, payment through email, and pickup by a friend. Quick response times and professional atmosphere.
The Dog Lodge at Sherman Valley is off the beaten path adjacent to the Capitol Forest, but worth the trip. They offer doggy daycare and boarding. In preparation for boarding in the future, I dropped my dog off for the day while I took a trip to the National Park dogs aren't allowed on trails. The dog lodge is located on a large property with horses that are kept separetly. Upon entering the kennels I noticed it looked and smelled clean. It is set up so that dogs can play together or separately in a fenced grassy area. This family business operates professionally, so I had to provide proof of current vaccinations and fill out a detailed applicaton. When I picked up my dog, he was happily romping around. One of the owners Shanell, gave me a detailed account of his stay. I could tell that she has a keen insight on dog behaviour. Since I have newly become this dog's caregiver, it was nice to learn more about him. The prices are reasonable and I felt that I more than got my moneys worth.
I wasn't using the dog lodge but on the property for something else. What I can tell you is that the property is well taken care of and the people I did speak with were nice and willing to help.
Went there for a All Class High School Reunion. Had lots of fun! Nice large wood dance floor!
Amazing place with great people. Beautiful place for your dogs and horses to stay!
