Very nice place to stop over for one night, the people were very nice, the sight was a pull through with full hookup # 39 and level. I liked that you had to have a code to use the Bathhouse, the bathhouse was very clean and good water pressure in the shower. We would for sure stay here again. You could hear interstate 75 , but it wasn't terrible. PJV
Overall good stay 3 nites. We were in site 49. This park located in the midst of the beautiful Smoky Mountains about a mile off I 75 and just a short drive from Knoxville Tennessee. A quiet All FHU park. It’s a small park with level sites pretty close together. Bathhouse was great and very clean. Had a dog park and grassy areas for pets. Also had several hiking trails the longest about .75 miles. Great for a stop over.
This is my go to campground in the knox/anderson cry area; mainly because I always feel so welcome and comfortable bringing my three little fur babies. Also, the grounds are well kempt, there's a fenced in dog area, laundry room and showers. Each site has a picnic table, no firepits. Im giving them 4 stars because the office reeks of sewage ALL THE TIME. Will keep coming back again and again and would recommend to anyone
The good, the bad, and the ugly Good: Hosts are friendly It’s cheap It’s clean It’s quiet Has full hookups Has a small laundry facility Has 2 bath houses Close to I-75 Allows pets and has a “dog park” Bad: Everything is stone gravel Spots are close together There’s no camp areas No campfires allowed Not kid friendly they allow kids, but there is nothing for them to do. Ugly: The creek is a joke. It’s a small trickling drainage ditch. Don’t go outside barefoot. The stones are sharp! No trees/shade No privacy No pavement By far not the worst camping experience, but may not choose to camp there with children again.
We had an overall positive experience here. They have nice amenities and a pretty walking trail in the woods you can use on a nice day. We were even backed up to a little creek so there was a good little view. And the employees are very friendly. But a couple small issues. 1 the sites are all unlevel 2 the water pressure is very low 3 the sites are pretty small For a short term stay, I highly recommend. It's remote and safe and clean. For a longer term stay, the water and uneven sites could be an issue.
The park accommodated us very well. Other people needed to fill their water tanks. And we’re blocking the road for us to get to our site. So I had to go around them it was very tight. I ended up smashing my furnace bug Dobbers screen. Still functional no big deal. Full hook ups great outstanding didn’t need to store it was just an overnight. I would go back there again.
Had an extended stay at this location.. Clean, well maintained park. Management Mary and Bobby at the time were great to work with. All lots are gravel and reasonably level for the area. Easy access to Knoxville and Oak Ridge. Plenty of urban and outdoor activities within a 30 min drive. HIGHLY recommend this location!!
Only one tent spot but it is nice and shady, right beside a little creek and right at the head of 3 short hiking trails. 13.71 for the tent camping spot and you can only stay one night if you're a non-member. No electricity, or water for the tent spot but they do have clean bath houses with flushing toilets and showers. This spot is better for RVers.
Park is small with spaces close together. They need to fix the trench at the entrance as others have noted. Water pressure is very low. We booked a 3 week stay. On the first day I asked if we could swap for one of the other currently empty sites as ours was not level and our Sat dish was blocked by a tree on our site. "None of the sites are level and nothing else is available". After 1 1/2 weeks here we noted that the site next to us was almost exclusively used for overnight stays. I asked if we could move to that site and have our site used for the overnighters. Emphatic "no". When she looked for booking conflicts in moving sites, there were none. The next booking end date corresponds to our departure. I explained again the satellite issue with the tree. "That's not our problem." "Changing sites would require starting over and creating a whole new booking". I asked what the refund policy was if we left now. "Can't be done, you're already paid up for the whole stay". We have traveled across the U.S. and have stayed in many RV parks. We are an Escapees member so expected a good experience here. This is the worst, least accommodating service we have experienced anywhere. This is our first Escapees park stay; if this is indicative of the level of service we will not be renewing our membership.
Probably the worst campground, I stayed out, the people in the office are really rude, the Dip in road is bad, won't be staying there ever again.
