The First State Bailliage is Delaware's only chapter of the Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs
The Chaîne des Rôtisseurs is the world’s oldest international gastronomic society, founded in Paris in 1248. Revived in 1950, the society has professional and amateur members in more than 100 countries worldwide. In the United States, there are more than 150 bailliages (chapters), each offering a variety of culinary activities to suit the interests of local members.
For culinary or hospitality professionals, membership provides opportunities to demonstrate exceptional skills and creativity to a discerning, appreciative audience. For amateur gastronomes, membership provides significant learning opportunities and unique dining opportunities. For all interested men and women, Chaîne membership offers opportunities to meet people who share a common interest in fine dining and good fellowship.
