A hot glass art studio that offers classes, equipment rentals and unique hand made glass for sale. Open to the public. Designers and collabs are welcome!

Description

The Furnace Inc. is a contemporary blown-glass studio.

Our sculptural and functional work is showcased in galleries across the United States.

We welcome glass-lovers to come watch the artists in action; the best times to do so are between 11 am and 4 pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Hands-on workshops are offered every weekend. Check out our facebook book it link or our online booking calendar at http://www.furnaceglassworks.com/classes--studio-rental.html to reserve an upcoming class slot. Prices start as low as $50.

We sell retail as well as wholesale. If you are own a gallery (or other retail outlet) you are welcome to view our wholesale pricing on indieme.com. We are artist #23325. If you don't already have a profile on indieme.com, please know that it is free to join as a retailer. Of course, we can always provide you with a guest login and password.



"Showcasing the Art & Craft of Glass!The Furnace is a hot-glass art studio hand crafting blown glass home decor, functional art, and scuptural pieces that is carried by galleries and shops around the country.In our gallery, we carry our own work as well as pieces made by other regional and national artists working glass in all its varied forms. This includes fused, lamp- or torch-worked glass, stained glass, glass mosaic, and glass jewelry.We also share our love of molten glass by teaching "experience" workshops and skills classes. When we're not in production mode, we open our shop for rental by other glassblowers. At our Annex location, we have a torch/lampworking area available for rental as well."

The Glass Sampler Workshop was a fantastic experience! Our instructor, Lindsay, was knowledgeable, patient, and encouraging, making it easy for beginners to learn the basics. The hands-on nature of the class made for a fun and engaging atmosphere, and we all there were four of us left with two beautiful pieces that we had created in the workshop. Highly recommended for anyone interested in exploring the art of glass blowing!
Kerry taught us and she was amazing! Can’t recommend highly enough! What a great experience and so much fun!
We had a great time at our experience class here! Everything was explained thoroughly, and we were able to do as much or little of the process as we were comfortable with, with the instructors stepping in when needed to apply their expert skill. The instructors were super friendly and kind, and made for an enjoyable experience. We really liked that we could have a private experience with just our family, rather than having to join a larger group like some glass blowing workshops require. I would highly recommend coming here if you are looking to try your hand at glass blowing!
My son and I did a class Sunday morning. What a great experience! Our instructor was wonderful. She was great at showing and explaining everything. I was amazed on how many things that she let us do on our own. We made some wonderful pieces. One our best experiences!

We had a group of four for a birthday celebration. Kerry was a wonderful teacher- she is so patient and fun to work with. One person in our group had done this in another state and was impressed at how much more we were allowed to do here Kerry had us doing as much as we wanted on our projects. Can’t wait to go back!
They were super nice and super helpful. And the lady in front was so fun to talk to. I'm so happy that they are going to incorporate my cats ashes into a glass piece. They also have beautiful pieces. My bestie bought a few. I'd give them a 10 out of 10 honestly.
We had a group of five this past Monday morning. Our experience was fantastic. We each make a glass piece, two paperweights and three double bowls. Sheryle was our instructor and was knowledgable, patient with our newbies, upbeat and made our class so fun! I own many glass pieces which I have collected over the years and always wanted to make a piece of glass. We are so happy to have had a Glass Experience at The Furnace. Thank you!
Awesome experience. The instructor was great, very friendly and knowledgeable. She explained everything and demonstrated first which put us at ease. She talked us through the process while we were making our treasures. I would highly recommend The Furnace Glassworks. My daughter and I created a wonderful memory that we will not forget.
My daughter and I did the beginners course. Fantastic experience. We were able to do a lot of it by ourselves and learned a ton. We had a blast.
