The Gathering Fine Food and Spirits

Fine dining vibe. We wanted the patio but told there was no availability. Food is delicious and presents nicely. Desserts didn’t disappoint either! Our waitress, Grace, was very attentive and friendly. Great experience!

Good things first: First impression walking in for dinner was great. Lovely table setting, ambience, decor. Personnel were friendly. Most of the food tasted really good and presentation was good. Now the negatives, keeping in mind the high prices: bread was not good, wine was ice cold, one of my jumbo shrimp was cold ?, my partner's steak was not hot and had a large unappetising streak of fat in it, after being read the specials and ordering their special we were informed they were out of it, we were charged a fee to pay for the meal with a credit card, and we had to ask for napkins.

One of the best places in Findlay. The Scallops are a must have. Great steaks. The veggies were a little undercooked for my liking. Great dessert.

Came in for new years/anniversary dinner and was not disappointed at all. Steak, shrimp, scallops were cooked perfectly, the mashed potatoes stole the show. Drinks were great and selection was wonderful. It was a little pricey but we'll worth it.

My FAVORITE place to get a fancy dinner in Findlay ‍ We go here on special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries and are treated to only the best. My favorite to get is when they have steak specials. We went when there was a ribeye on special that was one of the best ribeyes I have ever had.

Went for lunch and wasn't expecting such a small menu selection. And online it said their was desert's available but we was told their wasn't any. Disappointed because we really wanted some creme brulee.Recommended dishesTomato Basil Bisque

Let me start off by saying that the food is absolutely delicious. It's not a great place for picky eaters as they only have a few options for entrees. The salad was ok, but hardly had any dressing to it. The vegetables in it were very fresh! The entree was perfectly cooked, the whipped potatoes were delicious as well as the asparagus! I found it weird that my filet had as much fat on it as it did, but I ate around it and still enjoyed it. The dessert was alright, I'm not a big close fan and it seemed as though the strawberry wine sorbet had some clove taste to it. Service was mediocre. It took over 20 minutes to get a refill on my water. We didn't get napkins until after our entrees were served. After our entrees were served nobody came to check on us to make sure everything was good. Then we wanted to order ONE sorbet said this twice and she still brought out 2. Then after the restaurant wasn't full our waitress came back and apologized for not being as attentive as she knew she should have. However, it was too late at that point. She didn't have enough other tables keeping her too busy to care for us. This place was not busy and with how expensive it was, I was expecting there to be better service.

After trying many places for dinner only to walk away disappointed, we thought we'd give The Gathering a try. Service was excellent, the food was amazing and we're hard to please, a bit on the pricey side but very worth it. The scallops were PERFECTLY prepared, the salmon was amazing, the orecchiette had the most amazing sauce, and the espresso cheesecake--so good. Thank you for finally giving us a 5+ star dining experience. We look forward to sharing this amazing restaurant with our friends.
