I booked a class with absolutely no knowledge in the kitchen I haven’t used my oven in a year - oops. I was so nervous that I’d be annoying or out of place. All my nerves were washed away as soon as the class started!! Everyone was so friendly. Non-stop laughter and encouragement. Whether you were a noobie like me or someone with lots of experience trying something new, everyone had a great time! I also went solo and met some lovely people. I’d recommend their classes for solo outings, with friends, date nights, all of the above! And the store itself is massive - as someone who doesn’t cook, it made me want to with all the unique seasonings and tools available! I’ll definitely be back. for reference, I took a pasta class!
Went to one of the many wonderful cooking classes offered by GW… it was a Southern Italian theme, the instructor and support staff were over the top!! It’s like learning to cook but you’re not thrown into a stressful environment. I have to admit, I had anxiety when I first sat down… But, as soon as the instructor started to speak, I felt at ease. We went through the set menu and there were many things that were prepared by the chef through demonstrations, so it is definitely a relaxing environment while learning how to make our delectable menu items. The support staff made you feel like you were at a fine dining establishment, pouring us water clearing our plates, helping with cutlery napkins all while providing a genuine smile with stories of fabulous food experiences! Oh, and there was wine What a fantastic experience, I highly recommend it!!
Huge warehouse with everything you need in the kitchen. You will be able to find variety of things here, from international spices, coffees to aprons, pots & pans!
Great prices! Especially on Oxo and small kitchenware Often better pricing than Amazon and better than special ordering from the US for speciality items. Bathroom, 2nd floor and frozen foods all included. No pets unfortunately
The Gourmet Warehouse is a store full of eye candy for those interested in the art of cooking & baking. The displays here showcase some very fine brands in kitchenware essentials, including Le Creuset and others. If you are looking for a Japanese-made specialty knife, you'll find it here. Bakeware? Check. Barware? Check. This is only one section, the other is where you will go to find fine foods, local, regional, and international. All their products are very finely curated for discerning tastes. The staff there is always willing to help and guide you in case you have any questions. Their prices are fair, relative to the quality offered. Visit and enjoy!
good place to see all the wonderful upgrades you need to cook. there are other places that are cheaper but they still do have cheaper items. they have different things for cooking, baking, serving, food prep, blending, cutting, food storage, spices, pots, pans, stainless, woks, cast iron, kettles, cutting board, and etc. we were looking for a particular wok and wanted to pay top price. for it. but it was not available but we went there anyway to check the place out. you can always call first and check your item. there is a second floor with other things as well. staff is very helpful and knowledgeable to an extent. some of them are not experts but still helpful staff. we would come back here again.
I like here. It has what you need for your home… Everything is kind of expensive but the quality is good
I always shop here and get my regular soda waters, but today I was in a bit of a daze and mood. I went up to the middle aged blonde women cashier and she was so genuine and friendly/warm it snapped me right out of it. I think all we talked about was mini bags of chips & box sizes but it was a wonderful interaction. It was exactly what I needed to brighten my day. So a big thank you!
Although they can be expensive, they have so many unique products! Could just spend a couple hours browsing the store. They have all your kitchen speciality products here from pots and pans, knives, small appliances, bakeware, food seasonings, utensils, cocktail ware, bitters, and the list goes on. The location is near the downtown Eastside area so not the most pleasant place to walk to one might argue. They always have a security guard standing as you enter the store.
This place is simply amazing ! It’s always a learning experience every time we visit. There is everything you need and everything you didn’t know existed that you could use to help with your food preparation and presentation. The staff are very helpful and I’m amazed by how they can locate what you need in this hugely stocked store.
