The Grindstone Cafe is a community gathering spot in the heart of the Northeast Kingdom. Our Espresso Bar is one of the best in New England. We also host a gift shop filled with crystals, lotions, and notions and a wellness center upstairs.
Located in the the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont, the Grindstone Cafe is a small Espresso Bar/Coffee Shop that is so much more. Owned & operated by Kim Crady-Smith the Grindstone prides itself in being a Community Hub. Specializing in handcrafted Coffee's, Tea's & Pastries the Grindstone promotes quality in all its offerings.
Along with fantastic coffees, teas, & pastries the Grindstone also host a small gift shop, featuring handcrafted gifts for Vermont and around the world. From local honey to handcrafted incense from Glastonbury, England, the Grindstone has something for everyone.
Out upstairs loft is home to the Wellness Center, which offers Yoga classes, Inuitive Healing, Psychic Readings, and informative classes from body, mind and spirit.

Our Baristas are skilled and dedicated to offering the best in the way of Espresso Drinks. Our Coffee & Espresso are small batch roasted by Prime Roast Coffee of Keene, NH. Our Teas are blended by the Vermont Tea Company of Waterbury, VT & our Pastries are baked fresh by the Kingdoms best bakers....Kate the Baker, Luscious Bits Gluten Free Bakery & the Gypsy Baker. We also offer high quality chocolate from Nutty Steph's of Middlesex, Vt.

The focus of the Grindstone Cafe is to create a space for conversation & community. It is a place to gather with friends, chat with the locals and feel connected. Whether you are visiting the area or live near, you will find the Grindstone Cafe to be an open, welcoming environment. As a gathering place for the community we offer Yoga & Thai Chi Classes in our upstairs studio, a weekly Chess Club and various workshops. We want to give you, our community, a place where you can gather your friends, family, and loved ones. A place to celebrate the simple pleasure of life; relax and find comfort or share in large festivities and gatherings.
