It's a decent enough place to go bowling. I think the place has improved a bit over the years and we didn't have any issues with the lane. When they turned on the black lights it was a bit different, but we were just finishing up. I would recommend though I kind of wish they allowed you to bring in your own food and drink if you want.
The Gutter is an awesome bowling alley. The atmosphere is great for everyone and it's usually not too hard to get a lane. It's awesome when they turn the black lights on. I will say that I had a hard time finding a ball with holes large enough for my fingers, they could improve their ball selection.
Pulled up for some bowling here with the whole gang. We had a fantastic time even though I'm honestly really bad at it. The lanes were nice and clean, equipment all worked right and the employees were super chill as well. We love coming here and will certainly be back again!
This place lives up to it's name. We come here every Thursday as a fun activity. It is impossible to come here without problems, but you get what you pay for. It's cheap to bowl here on Thursday nights, it's harder to get in during the summer because people rent the place for parties. They offer food and drinks; they have bowling balls and shoes available. If you don't like bowling there's the fun park next door. I really wanted to give them 3 stars, but the service isn't always good. Every once in a while you tell them there's a problem with the lane; they say "OK" then sit there talking. Eventually you have to come over and remind them there's a problem.
it’s so ghetto they didn’t wanna give me any bumper or a smaller ball cause i’m scrawny i wanna a refund and my 11 year old son “was to big for bumpers” he had and awful experience fix this place before my daddy comes to fix it
Went Bowling on Saturday with my family. 2 adults, 3 kids. It was fun, even though our lane kept glitching... One thing I was not happy about was the lack of disclosure on pricing. We bought two games, and shoes for everyone, but what they didn't tell us is they charged us for shoes for each game. We ended up paying way more than we wanted too. Definitely was not cheap. So, just be aware that they do charge per game for shoes....seems strange to make a family rent shoes for each game instead of just rent the shoes for the time you are there. Otherwise, it was fine. The pizza was ok, not great. And it is usually busy on the weekends.
When we first walked in I was pleasantly surprised by the smell. It didn't smell like a bowling alley that had been there for 100 years already. I really appreciated that aspect of it. The facility itself was clean and looked well maintained. Bathrooms were well kept and monitors all worked and looked nice. We had a group there using 4 lanes and had one break down while we were there. It took them a little while to fix, but they did eventually get the lane going again. The pizza is delicious and the staff was all very friendly. We would go back again!
The facility is great but the employees were awful. They sat talking to each other and ignored us when we walked in instead of providing us with service. Then when we needed to exchange shoes for a different size it took several minutes to gain their attention again. While we were playing, two other groups arrived. The rest of the alley was completely empty but the employees put both of the new groups right next to us on either side. There was an entire bowling alley open but we were forced to play right on top of each other. That just does not work, especially when playing with kids as all 3 of our groups had. The employee incompetence ruined what would have been a great game and left us with no desire to ever come back.
This is a good place to go on a Thursday night. They have a discount on bowling on Thursdays, which is a good deal when you consider that your ball will probably get stuck more than once, and the lane will probably stop for no reason at least once. Of course the employees are helpful, but you can expect some issues while bowling. The biggest downfall is that they let people rent out the whole bowling alley for parties. So after you leave home and drive there, you find a note on the door that says sorry, you're not bowling tonight, because somebody rented the whole place out tonight. They also don't adhere to their schedule for cosmic bowling. Which is a big deal, if you are an avid bowler, who uses the marks on the floor and the lane. Once the lights go out, you can't see any of those marks. Overall it's a good place to bowl. Good, not great. But we keep going back every Thursday, except for the Thursdays that we get turned away by a note on the door.
Went with a group of kids and they set us up on two lanes -- one for kids and one for adults. We paid for two games for everyone, but it soon became apparent that the adults were going to finish their two games in the time that the kids would finish one. I went back and asked for a refund for the kids' second game since we weren't going to use it, and the employee refused to help us out. Apparently there is a small piece of paper taped to the front desk stating that they don't refund second games. I would have been more understanding, but there were a whole slew of other issues when we got there. For example, the bumpers on the kids' lane were broken. When we brought it up to them, they looked down at a sheet and were like "oh yeah, that's broken". I asked if they could fix it and the best they could do was swap our lanes so that the adults were at the lane with the broken bumpers. They got the names swapped over fast, but when the kids started bowling on the new lane, the bumpers were broken there, too! We raised the issue with the employees and they said that they couldn't do anything about it. On top of that, the lanes are outdated and the scoring will often glitch out on you. Overall, it's a junky place. You get what you pay for in lane quality, but I expected at least an ounce of service when we their bumpers wouldn't work. A lot of places would have offered a full discount right away when they didn't have anything that works, but for them to refuse a discount on games that we didn't even use with all the other issues at the same time is absolutely galling. Anyone who has been with a group of kids at a bowling alley knows that the bumpers make a big difference when kids are there. Some kids are not very good and they will roll it into the gutter every time. The owners should be ashamed of themselves and hire new staff. Logan is full of students that are willing to work at night. There's no excuse for the pitiful customer service that they have there.
