Our family is speaking with an attorney today to try and help this place get shut down. What a nightmare. My sister in law just lost her fiance my brother. Unfortunately got into a horrible car accident and almost lost her life. Then to be taken to this place. Staff is making her wait over an hour for help to the bathroom , staff telling her to stop crying and act her age she's not a baby , meds being passed 2 hours after the schedule time. Y'all messed up big this time. I'm a supervisor of a facility here in Florida and know all the correct ways to go about the horrible things you as a staff are doing to these residents in your care. Meds should not be passed but an hour before or a hour after narcs are supposed to be passed at the exact time. If you don't know your job or don't have the heart to do it correctly go flip burgers at McDonald's. I'm sure staff is way under paid and worked like dogs. That's the biggest reason people stop caring and loving what they do. You owners are a joke to be ok with this.
I went to see a family member a who would be upset for doing this yet some things alerted me that are completely absurd! One, the fact there’s no clean area for residents to get clean water it’s insane you provide them with ice when available apparently isn’t consistent and to top it off you guys use sink water?!? Are you kidding me?!!!!! I have never in life seen this in a medical faculty you guys can’t afford the right equipments smh. Second the hours operation is crazy, there’s no need to wake someone up from their sleep at 5am for meds especially for vitamins that could wait. Third the staff is extremely rude like for god sake be nice to the those poor people they don’t deserve to be put down! Remember one day you to will be old and down on your luck… like think of it being your mother or grandmother like would you like them to deal with this? I can keep going on about this place but it useless as the faculty itself. SHUT IT DOWN!
This is a sad day. It's sad because this place is permitted to stay open. I wouldn't even give this place 1 star. My father was there for 2 brutal weeks. 2 WEEKS and was only given a shower once. Upon visiting my father it was a common site to see him sitting in his own feakel matter. If that wasn't bad enough when you ask a staff member about it, thier response was simply that's not my job. Shame on this evil place. I have never seen such a poorly run establishment, the people in there deserve better.
If I could give this place negative stars I WOULD! How is this place still opened? This place is here for Medicaid fraud!!! They send people here who they know have no family so they can continue to collect Medicaid benefits! Blake medical hospital sent my friend here to die!! They discharged her while she was septic to this God awful place! The workers here do not care about you. They are here to collect a paycheck. Everyone needs to call and get this place shut down NOW!! They are also taking patient's pain meds.
I’m posting this review not as a resident or employee, bus as someone who lives next door to this facility. The conversations I hear between the patients and the staff here are alarming. Patients telling staff they haven’t been bathed in 2 weeks, staff asking to buy pain pills from patients. The way the staff here talk to their patients is very very sad. I overheard a conversation where a staff member was telling a patient she needed to put out her cigarette...this conversation turned into the employee cussing out the elderly woman and she mentioned that she knows he’s stealing from patients. Just terrible.
I'm giving one star only because there's no option of giving zero stars. In fact, I'd give negative stars. This place is the most vile, disgusting place I've ever seen. I went to visit my mother in law and the first thing I noticed was nobody at the front desk / reception area except an older woman in a wheelchair left unattended and begging to use the restroom. She was talking to nobody because nobody was there. We could have easily taken her and nobody would have seen it. Immediately after this, I was hit in the face with the intense, overwhelming stench of old urine. It smelled like they mopped the floors and cleaned the countertops using urine instead of water. There wasn't even a hint of any attempt to mask the disgusting, nausea-inducing smell. Honestly, I threw up a little in my mouth. I don't know how anyone can stand to be in this place for more than a few seconds. The place looks terrible and run-down both on the outside and inside. My mother in law said the "bed" was extremely uncomfortable. We were told that the beds were specially made for people recovering from illnesses. But actually, it wasn't even a bed. In fact, it was complete garbage. I've literally slept on concrete on a piece of cardboard and it was more comfortable than this "bed." They should be ashamed of themselves. One of the physical therapy guys, Bill, spent more time flirting with women than actually helping patients. It was a disgrace. The attendants are busy gossiping about their patients. Nice to your face then they turn around and complain about patients to other patients and attendants there. They talked about one other woman to us in a horrible way. All the patients look so depressed and miserable. This is the worst place I have ever seen. My mother in law is 72 years old and she broke her hip, leg, pelvic bone, tail bone, and had some other injuries as a result of multiple falls in a short time span. She was so miserable after the first night that she said she would rather die than stay there another night. We immediately came and got her out of there. This place should be shut down. Shame on them for treating people this way. This is not how people deserve to be treated. It seems like a place that was put together with the cheapest garbage they could find and then abandoned and forgotten. I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this hell hole let alone a loved one. I'm writing this review as a warning to others because there are no relevant reviews here. I sincerely hope someone will go look at this place and help those poor people. Clearly, they are lost souls whose families don't care about them. Someone should care. It breaks my heart to see these people suffering needlessly. Don't take my word for it. Check the place out for yourself. Wish I had taken pictures but they would not do justice to the horrors of this place. You must see, smell, and experience it for yourself.
The management team really care about their patient. It’s rare to see an administrator that knows the names and stories of their residents and makes regular rounds to check on everyone. Social services is attentive and make sure their patients are having their needs met. They also have a fantastic view that can’t be beat! Dolphins were out playing this morning!!
I have been in this facility since August 5th I see no reason to wake a patient up at 5 am to give them a Flexeril I was sound asleep and then I could not go back to sleep. The food here is awful residents begging for help all hours of the night. My right leg which I had total knee replacement on and then a revision hurts so bad but it will be after 10 before I get any meds for pain I will be lucky if I get 2 a day. I am so ready to go home today would not be soon enough Over all from a 1 to a 10 I would give this place a 3
I checked in around 10:30 pm the biggest mistake I've ever made! This place is a pit!. The staff, what there is of it is uncaring and hides from patients. I listened while the hospital did a nurse to nurse call to make sure all of my meds and other care needs would be addressed upon my arrival. What a joke! No one was at the desk when the driver brought me. When he finally found a CNA she pointed down the hall and said leave her in the room. The bed looked 20 years old and I personally watched him give the nurse at the station my paper work. No one came to help even though i pushed the help buttin. After hearing the constant beep for 45 minutes I decided no one was coming and worked my way to the bathroom, then bed. There were no working lights in the bathroom. The bathroom was disgustingly dirty and I cleaned the seat with my own hand sanitizer. I used my little keychain flash light and found dirty floors, even the privacy curtains were stained with some unknown substance. I wanted to leave immediately but had no transportation. I thought I would address it with the CNA or nurse when I saw them. After a long wait 2 bad tempered women entered the room I asked for my evening meds so i could try and get some rest. I was told i would not be getting any meds till the morning. the nurse said their was nothing she could do and left. I asked if the CNA would help me get into bed. I was looked at like in had 3 heads and the CNA said she'd be back. Both left never to be seen or heard from again. My roommate tried to be helpful and even offered me one of her blankets! I declined and didn't need one because there was no ac. The only relief was the open bathroom window. A bathroom shared by the other 2 occupants of the adjoining room! There was no privacy because the doors have no locks. Luckily i had some meds that in had when I was taken to the hospital by ambulance the week before, but no anti-seizure med, I made due with what I had. Since there was no water i went to the nurses station, my nurses bell along with A few others from other rooms were still ringing. I found a different person at the desk who did not have a name tag and did not identify herself, I had to ask her to help get the water from the vending machine and open the bottle. I asked if the CNA would be sent in to help me into bed, She said sure, this did not happen. I managed to get into bed with only a thin sheet. I even was able to plug in my heating pad and slept fitfully for an hour. My roommate, reeked from urine. I was not strong enough to help but she seemed used to it as did the other patients who wandered the halls at all hours with no supervision. Some played loud music while others watched tv at full volume! At 3:30 i did get the CNA to shut the door for us. My neighbor thanked me and said it was so nice to have quiet. Apparently my request for quiet upset the CNA because at 4 am she started coming in and out of the room, waking us up for no good reason. Then she decided to change the lady in the next bed who never complained once. She was so rough with her that she cried out in pain and actually cursed asking her to stop. Honestly it was like something out of a horror show! The rude woman said she had to get this done before she left. Finally it was over but the incapacitated woman is still moaning in pain. At least she's clean now. I'm just waiting till the sun's up so I can arrange transportation home. I will call my doctor and have him call the local pharmacy for my missing meds and hire a CNA, I can't afford it but I will not stay here for another minute! DO NOT PUT YOURSELF OR A FAMILY MEMBER THRU THIS HELL! THE PICTURES ONLINE look good but when you arrive it's nothing like the pictures. They should be shut down! And when I'm able I will find out what to do to file the strongest complaint possible. Something has to be done. There are people here who cannot or will not speak up for themselves and they need help!
I would never ever recommend it or send a family member there. The staff sits outside on the patio and have very loud and inappropriate conversations. They use very foul language. They smoke on the patio all hours of the day and night. They have residents they let sit out on the patio and also make very loud and inappropriate sounds. It does not sound like the type of environment that encourages any type of rehabilitation.
