We make buying health insurance easy.

The Health Insurance Store is Madison, Wisconsin's only retail store that sells employee benefits, individual and family health insurance on and off the federal exchange, and Medicare Supplements.

No appointment is necessary. You can stop by our store and meet with an insurance advisor whenever is convenient for you. However, if you know a specific time that's best for your schedule, please call to schedule an appointment.

During your visit, your advisor will answer any questions you have, go over different plans and prices, and will make plan recommendations based on your needs and budget. If you find a plan that's right for you, your advisor will help you enroll in that plan on the spot.

Our services are 100% free of charge.

You pay us nothing for our services. When we assist you with your health insurance enrollment, our partner insurance companies compensate us for the service we've provided to you.

Also, when you purchase an insurance plan at The Health Insurance Store, you pay the lowest rate available for that plan. In other words, purchasing your plan from us doesn't include any additional fees.

Steve was awesome. I had been struggling with what to do regarding a supplement to medicare, as I was eligible in a month. He took the time to review all options carefully. I never felt rushed. After my husband and I retired, we were confused and lost with what health care choices and options were available to us. We had always been under an employer plan for our entire careers so were uninformed about non-employer plans. To add complexity, my husband needed a Medicare plan and I did not. Steve Moritz was extremely helpful, patient and understanding on both occasions that I worked with him. The first time was in March when my COBRA insurance was scheduled to expire and then again when I needed to sign up for supplemental Medicare insurance in July. He made sure that I was fully aware of some of the deadlines that were in place and made sure I enrolled properly so my coverage would start on time. I feel that he had my best interests as his priority and if I have any questions in the future, I will certainly reach out to him.
Steve has been so helpful in explaining how Medicare works and what the different plans provide. He has made choosing much easier for me. He has also made sure my wife was taken care of as well while she waits for her turn. I would truly encourage anyone with insurance questions to talk with Steve. He is awesome!

Aaron helped me with my choice in a Medicare plan a couple years ago. I emailed him recently to ask him about options for Medicare plans in another state that we are looking to relocate to. He was able to compare policies there to the one we currently have and find me one that was very comparable. He also took my husbands list of meds and had them priced out and where to get them for the best price. This is beyond what could be expected for anyone to do for you. He told me how to contact someone in that state also. I have recommended him to many friends who have used his expertise in signing up for Medicare. He makes all the complicated parts of Medicare seem easy to understand. He is patient and answers all your questions. I cannot say enough good things about Aaron and his agency. Top notch service!!!
