9am - Lakewood Home Depot - Big disappointment. My family has been waiting for the kids workshop for a month and when we arrived they turned my family down. My kids are heart broken. Order more items. Fix this. Do better. Update 1030am - Signal Hill Home Depot - so much better. Plenty of projects for families, much more room and a lot more organized, there’s canopies for everyone no long lines at entrance or getting paint because paint is a separate station then building, all the paint brushes and supplies is laid out, there’s a cleaning station with great hand wipes, there’s free flavored snow cones and raffles for free prizes and toys. Lakewood can learn something from Signal Hill by far way better.
I recently received exceptional service from a representative at this Home Depot named Wanda. She went above and beyond to help me make a large purchase and provided her honest opinion. She was very patient, understanding, and took the time to explain everything to me in detail. Wanda made sure that I was completely satisfied with my purchase. Her professionalism and kindness were greatly appreciated. I would like to thank her for her exceptional service and for making my experience with Home Depot Lakewood a positive one.
We had an unfortunate experience with our washer and dryer delivery from Home Depot. Unfortunately, upon arrival, they didn't work. We patiently waited for 7 days for a technician to come to our aid. When the technician finally arrived, he took two pictures and informed us that he needed to order some parts. Regrettably, this situation has left us disappointed, and we are hesitant to make any future purchases from Home Depot. We have encountered challenges with their customer service, and thus far, we haven't received any satisfying resolutions except being told to await the technician's return.
Home Depot is not the same. I am remodeling my home and have spent over $20,000 dollars at the Home Depot in Lakewood Ca. and they wouldn't return or even give me store credit for a bundle of insulation I bought. I literally have like over 400 receipts that begin to fade, so I couldn't find the receipt for the insulation. Again today tried returning some foundation attachment hardware for the stucco and once again they would not give store credit for the three pieces $20.00ea I wanted to return so I told them to just keep them,and they did. Take my advice. Go to Contractors Whearhouse instead. I started my remodeling in April, and I took back material their from back in April today without a receipt, and they gave me store credit, no questions asked. Not to mention, they are way cheaper. It's right down the street. Take my advice. Contractors Whearhouse way better. What happened to Home Depot wanting to be the customer service leader. I guess they don't care about that anymore.
Once again the Home Depot had some beautiful plants and flowers. I only have one issue and that is that none of the employees ask if there's something they can help with. I had to keep asking for assistance as to where I may find something. Wish they would take the time to stop if they see anyone looking lost, Lol. Their Halloween set up is amazing, although I am a big The Nightmare Before Christmas fan so.
I recently bought kitchen cabinets at the Home Depot in Lakewood. I used their kitchen design process. I was helped by an employee named Jocelyn. I was shocked by how helpful and patient she was. She created the kitchen online for me. She offered suggestions as to how to get the cost where I needed it to be. She was able find my home depot credit card account even though I didn't have the card. She even made notes on the computer layouts for the installers. I am not sure if all the designers are this good but if they are I recommend this service with confidence.

Shopping was great unfortunately the lady at the door racially profiled our family with our kids and stopped us to ask for a receipt very rudely, of the item purchased. After giving the receipt she checked the date time and looked at our item and didn’t bother to say anything back and returned the receipt. Have a great day to you too ma’am!

Worse experience at this location. Purchased some large bags of cement that a worker said he can hold and I could pick up later because nomore fit in my car. When I came back to pick up that worker was no longer there and the other workers said they have to check cameras and kept saying comments about why would stuff be on hold, that is weird & made me wait more than 1 hr and still no manager came out to explain what was happening after asking several times. Finally after saying I was going to call corporate they took me to the back where I saw the manager and she said she had to call the coworker to confirm which don't know why it took almost 2 hrs at this point. Worst customer service ever. Save your time, go to a different location.
