On a recent outing to the Rohnert Park Home Depot, I was impressed to see an area of the store dedicated to tool and equipment rentals. There are some things I do not have that I could rent here. The Home Depot orange stands for value and energy. I felt energized leaving the store today because of the value I am going to get on future projects by saving money on rentals of equipment that I normally wouldn't have access to.
My rate isn’t about the store, the store looks well stocked and huge it is a good place to do your Home Depot shopping!! However, it is the employees! Some are kind and helpful and knowledgeable!! and others look like they were dragging their feet and pretending they didn’t hear you!! I’m not no-one-to judge!! Just proving my point!! I just feel like Home Depot is short handed and lack of experience employees!! They need training in making customers feel comfortable for what they’re looking for!! In past month i had to come back at least 5 times to get the right parts i was looking for!! Maybe my timing was inconveniences “late afternoons”or what? It was not a pleasant experience, it was late afternoons it was cold and rainy!! And no employee to assist me but, it was a must to go for the parts needed!! Next time, When i go to Home Depot “and i go often” i will get names of the ones who were kind and helpful!! Especially who provided acknowledgment and who really listened to what i was looking for!! I will try to avoid visiting Home Depot late afternoons!! Although, I must say if you are walking around looking for someone to assist you , just for a simple question!! Home Depot is a good place to get your exercise done! The store is huge!! FYI: If you order something online and its ready for pick up, you should go before 5pm!’ Otherwise, your order won’t be ready until the next morning!! To be continued
My favorite all around store and location, in Sonoma County. Central and easy on/off freeway. Homeowner paradise! Every thing down to the tools are quality! Like this Chainsaw I bought. I highly recommend this store and location!
Wanted a simple light bulb extender. Wandered row after row of lighting, light bulbs, etc.. No luck at finding. Only clerks available were only for major appliances or paint. I finally had to download the app on my phone to locate the aisle and bin where the item was located.
Better pricing then Lowes or ace, but this is a place that is ridiculously hard to get service as soon as the last shift starts. I've waited 20 minutes for someone to come help me, then had to go find them myself!
DO NOT USE FOR FLOORING INSTALLATION! I purchased an 8K flooring job in Aug and it’s now the end of Oct and still not finished. First all my product came in damaged and needed to be re-ordered - setting the project back 2 more weeks. Then when delivered, only a portion was delivered - setting the project back. Then there was miscommunication with the installers - setting it back another two weeks. Went THOUSANDS over the contract and work was not completed that I had to pay other contractors to finish. They did not complete the work listed in my contract and they hit me with additional charges not listed in my contract. Allison, my contact at HP, miscommunicated the entire project. In fact, when I asked her how long to finally get the install scheduled, she said 4-6 weeks. I then called the installer myself and was told 2 weeks. She didn’t even bother to check with them - setting it back again. She was unprofessional and difficult to work with and her mistakes cost me THOUSANDS! I can’t stress enough just how dishonest and unprofessional Home Depot was during this project. Save your money PLEASE DO NOT USE THEM!!!
Rating speaks more to the supply issue; the staff was very friendly and helpful. We needed flooring and options were VERY limited in the lower price ranges for vinyl waterproof snap or self stick etc. Hoping options are better when we decide to redo the whole house not just one room!
Place is a nightmare.. If you want to waste a lot of time buy your supplies here.. no one's ever around to help you they lock up the wires but it's nearly impossible to purchase it.. waited around 10 minutes for someone to come to electrical so I could get one roll of wire they finally show up in a scissor lift and tell me it's going to be a little bit they have to get something else and they need to close the aisle down.. I just left and going somewhere else buy my supplies
I don't know if they had a change of store management or what but the place just presents a lot better than it used to- seems like they stepped up their game recently. A+ especially to gardening section and Staff for being not only friendly but super knowledgeable. Don't waste your time on the other chain stores that often feel loked theyre staffed w/ apathetic high school students.
Had to buy a some tools, about $2,500 worth. Nobody was available to unlock them to buy them. Staff tried for about 25 minutes to find someone, calling on the phone. I offered to go walk to wherever they might be but they said they don’t know where they are. After 30 minutes I gave up and will just have them shipped to me, I hope, or find another store that doesn’t set up a system they can’t use themselves. Not the first time I’ve had a similar issue in this store but it will be the last. Must be a terrible company.
