Welcome to The Mark Twain House & Museum, where the great American author lived and worked from 1874 to 1891. Open every day but New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, July 4, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

Description

Welcome to the Mark Twain House & Museum! Twain lived here from 1874-1891 with his wife Olivia and their three daughters. Many of Twain's most famous works were written here, including The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, and A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court.

National Geographic called the house "One of the top ten historic houses in the world."

We hold tours every day of the week! Please come visit.
