We have been coming regularly for nearly 5 years and it is definitely the best food for the value in the downtown Winter Garden area. My husband loves the BLT and I can’t say no to the Bam Bam shrimp either in the Poboy or tacos. My son loves boneless chicken wings with the assortment of different flavors. Linda is a great server and is always pleasant and kind. They have managed to maintain reasonable prices even through Covid. Unfortunately, they have not been able to maintain regular staffing and hours after the pandemic, and due to unfortunate and untrue rumors. I have observed with my own eyes good quality service to people of all kinds races and gender identities. If you’re looking for a good meal at a good price with a beautiful view, I recommend checking them out for yourself.
I loved the history of this restaurant on Plant Street in Winter Garden. The bar is made of reclaimed wood from a bowling alley. There is a huge propeller from a blimp prototype that was hanging from the ceiling. If your were meeting the boys to have some beers this is your place. The food was ok. The burgers, ordered medium well, were well done and slightly above average. The servers were nice. The whole place could use a deep clean. Some light fixtures have not been cleaned in years.
We had a very nice lunch here. It's right downtown in Winter Garden. It was seat yourself which was nice. Just walk in and sit down. Service was responsive. I had a chicken club and my wife had a salad. I thought their fries were excellent. They have a seasoned salt that reminds me of Red Robins fry seasoning. Everything came out quick and the prices were reasonable. Will definitely have to come back again.
Great big tasty, fresh, salads. Cool local spot with nice outdoor seating. But They do need to wipe down their salt n pepper shakers and the oil and vinegar.. so super sticky we had to go wash our hands after using the salt shaker etc. Good for a Casual quick spot
I have to give this place a Good review. The food was good, we ate outside, service was good. It was only afterwards we left I found out about the name. I was shocked. Def mixed feelings about that. But the food and service was still good.Food: 5/5
In searching for a place to have lunch in Winter Garden, which is a halfway point between those of us meeting up, I came across MoonCricket. I liked the name. There was outside seating, and the menu looked good. We got the Bam-Bam Shrimp and Pork Rind basket for starters. Both very good, but I definitely recommend the pork rinds. They are cooked fresh, hot, crispy, and flavored perfectly. Most of us got burgers of some sort. I got the Mediterranean Lamb Burger. It was so juicy! The goat cheese and Tzatziki Sauce set it off for an overall excellent flavor. Hubbie got the bacon cheese burger, which was also cooked great and very tasty. Our server was attentive, the inside seating/bar quaint, and quite a bit of outside seating for the space. Very happy with the experience.
Went for a bite of lunch, I hadn't been here before and had heard decent things, so maybe my expectations exceeded where I was going. The atmosphere is more of a bar that serves food, not a bad thing, just worth knowing. But that explains the food. Everything was overcooked and dry. Ordered a wagyu burger and a lamb burger, both medium and a chicken salad. The burgers were beyond well done and not worth the bun they were sitting on. The chicken on the salad was also overcooked and dry. The server was pleasant enough but not enough for me to come back for the food. I was hoping to have found a little gem in downtown Wintergarden, but unfortunately, no.
Food was good but Linda was great. We will go back to have another lamb burger sometime.Food: 4/5
Nice little hometown bar with awesome waitresses. Linda was super Food was average. Margarita pizza had a great taste but was a little microwave rubbery Wife had a Turkey Reuben she liked Brother had a club sandwich that was adequate Great environment though
My first time here: place is incredibly musty and the design is very outdated. Service wasn’t great either, in terms of friendliness. Everyone did that thing where they all watch the new table but quickly dart eyes away as if it to say “not my responsibility.” Eventually, someone came to greet us and give menus. The food was fast though. I got the margherita pizza and it was pretty good, I ate the entire thing myself with ease. My friend got the shrimp tacos, she said they are absolutely amazing but I didn’t try them. Looked pretty bland to me. Also not a fan of having politics shoved down my throat while I’m trying to eat decor. No diversity in the staff or the patrons for that matter. Someone alerted me to the derogatory name of the restaurant after my dining experience. Wouldn’t have spent a dime there if I knew before hand. Will not be back.
