Only reason for the 2 stars is the chairs still reclined. This theater needs to renovate their recliners. They were torn, and really looked very bad and uncomfortable. This facility needs to invest some money in updating their seating. Everything else was great.
I've always liked this place. It's a small theater to be sure, but they have always had good customer service. The concession stand is very quick which feels like a rarity these days. They also have way better snack selections than the surrounding towns movie theaters.
The employees are completely rude and disrespectful. Today my 13 yr old daughter went out to watch a movie with friends and one of the their employees came in and asked them to leave while continuously talking to them in a disrespectful tone and was just being completely rude! This has never happened before but this is disappointing. I will NOT be coming back.
Downtown SLO movie theater. Amazing location. Great staff and snacks. Needs an update and some love inside the theaters themselves. The reclining seats are definitely a huge plus - but they too need some TLC.
Popcorn was cold and gross, the nachos tasted chemical-y, and the movie stopped playing halfway through after being late to start even with ads accounted for. The seats were absolutely thrashed and look like they were attacked by feral cats. I really wanted to like this place but this was rough.
Great place, been coming here since I was a kid. They really need to upgrade the seats though. Torn / cracked and look nasty. Go back to the old school style seats if these can't be upkept.
This movie theater has all recipe for a great movie and experience. Recently was here for a special showing and was really nice to see that they really take their decorations and lighting seriously. I loved the murals on the wall and the whole vibe was on point. I do like that they have wine if you want. However was a tad high and a pretty small pour. Not a game changer just a note. The movie theatre itself was amazing and loved the reclining seats. Very conformable and good experience. With all the positive why the four stars. Well only thing was the service. Not bad just felt like they did not want to be there and no real acknowledgement or friendliness. I definitely like the direction and the theater and will be back.
I don't think this movie theater has changed in 30 years, it's also one of the only ones left in the county. However, some of the recliner seats need to be replaced.
Cool movie theater’s but horrible customer service horrible management horrible staff horrible “experience” you won’t get good customer service unless you’re white or look it or act the part. Everyone should feel welcomed not looked down upon because of the color of their skin. Do better if not have a sign out saying “whites only”.
I went today to the movie theaters, and when the movies finished I went to go eat at the habit and after I had to go to the bathroom really bad and the bathrooms at habit were closed. At the time I was with my friend and we went to go ask if we can use the bathroom there and the lady at the front desk gave us a really dirty like weird look. And as soon as you enter the bathroom it smelt like mariguana and I was telling my friend it stinks and as soon as I was gonna sit on the toilet the front desk lady came yelling at us accusing us of smoking reminder we’re 13 year olds boys in elementary, and she literally came in the whole men’s bathroom and she was yelling at us that she was gonna call security and I emptied out my pockets and showed her I had nothing but she would not look at my pockets. All she would say is to get out and that we’re lying straight to her face also my friend emptied out his pockets really bad service this Movie theater was my fav too. This all happened on 6/04/23 around 6-30ish.
