We came in here looking for a late night place to eat this spring. Most places were not open late night since it was off season but we were pleasantly surprised and satisfied with The Pond. All four members of our party liked their food which is rare. The hamburgers were delicious, as were the pub pretzels and the Mac and cheese. The staff was very kind and welcoming. The prices reasonable. There was even Live music while we ate. This is one of my favorite spots so far in Rehoboth beach I would definitely recommend going here when you are hungry or craving a late night eatery.
Right from stepping into this unassuming bar and grill I felt welcomed and comfortable. I chose to sit over on the bar side and my sever, Sam, was attentive, but gave me the space to mull over the menu as I was being indecisive. After talking with him I landed on the Reuben and it was delicious! Nearly melted in mouth while eating it. Everything was hot and fresh. Whether you live in the area or are visiting the beach I would highly recommend you stop in at The Pond.
With so many options in the area this one turned out to be really good. First time here, place was clean and food was good. We mostly had typical bar foods, cheesesteak, burgers, wraps and some cheesesteak fry thing; all good. A little expensive but I think the prices are comparable to everything else along this strip especially during vacation season.
The drinks were good , the wait staff was friendly. When it took an EXTREME amount of time in an empty bar the waitress refused to acknowledge. To explain apologize or acknowledge. Horrible place for food. Avoid!!!! Mussels minuscule not worth price.
Honestly, went here with my girlfriend and absolutely loved the food! Our waitress was Kathleen and she def went above and beyond. We both got the short rib grilled cheese sandwiches, fantastic! Kathleen even got the chef to add a layer of the mac and cheese onto the sandwich for me by far the best sandwich I’ve ever had. We will def be back to this spot next year, props to this place they went above and beyond for us!
Well this was a pleasant surprise. I'm not a sports bar person, they tend to be loud and rowdy but I can understand their appeal to fans of various games. Thankfully by design Ponds has erected a large glass wall to buffer the more enthusiastic merry-makers and their cries joy or dismay to the bar area proper. My ears are saved and I can still enjoy coverage of numerous games on the many screens surrounding the dining area. The decor is pleasant with large wooden booths and tables with comfy seating. There is enough room to bring a crowd for a night out or maybe a date night or lunch with the squad. The staff are enthusiastic and knowledgable of the menu and other features of the bar. The drink menu alone would take a few trips to finally sample it all. I was most impressed by the food. At first glance it seems like your typical stick-to-your ribs bar-fare. But thought and care were put into these humble dishes. We ordered fried pickles, and were blown away by the crisp fried batter and fresh snap of this southern staple. By far the best fried pickles I've ever had. The mussels were perfectly cooked in a garlic butter sauce with just a slight hint of rosemary. The mains were just enough. The portion sizes were satisfying but not overly large. I loved that I could enjoy my appetiser and main without coming away stuffed or hauling an armload of doggy bags. I'm of course planning a return trip, and bringing a few more friends.
Ordered on DoorDash for pick up. I’m glad I did pickup over delivery. For just my wrap with delivery it would have been $30. Pretty high priced. Honestly, only reason I ended up ordering from here was because there was a 35% off pick up order coupon on DoorDash. If not, wow. Inflation is understood but I ended up paying $18 with pickup so I found that reasonable. Overall, my wrap was good and my mozz sticks were a good quantity + side of sauce. Now, they also forgot my side of coleslaw with my wrap so this dinged them a star. I loved the live music when I popped in to pick up my order!
The Pond Bar & Grill had live entertainment the evening we went to dine. I ordered wraps and requested they put the spicy mayonnaise on the side which wasn't executed so I sent it back. I declined to order anything else. My partner's Mussells were overcooked and he suffered a bout of stomache trouble after consuming his meal. The waitress was amazing and all staff seemed friendly. It may have been a one-off so check it out for yourself. I cannot give a recommendation at this time; but realize first impressions are not necessarily the true essence of a location.
Been here quite a few times. Enjoyed the lunch more so then the dinner. There salads are delicious. Bigger at lunch ... a little skimpy at dinner. The lunch sliders are good... a little dry and overcooked. Myself and others found the lunch special menu "7 for 7" misleading and confusing. Also, not a very good variation to choose from on that menu. Parking: There is pkenty of parking and they have handicap parking.
Solid sports bar and hangout. Tons of TVs, large draft list, lots of martinis and cocktails. Food is good- but very much traditional "bar food". I do wish they had more healthy options because the place is fun and they have lots of happenings trivia nights, martini night, game nights, great bands, etc. Burgers are great I love the Avacado Turkey burger, the fried pickles are delish, and the side salads are great and can be subbed for any sides. Know before you go- the place can be loud the band is pretty loud even in the back of the dining room and trivia is throughout the restaurant so check the event schedule if you are sensitive.
