“The Rack” is a campus food pantry available to all WVU students. The Rack operates on a anonymous basis. Students are required to complete a one time In-take form upon their first visit to the Rack. This is only for data reporting.
The Campus Food Bank is available to all students who are in need of emergency assistance.
Non-perishable and perishable food items are available to students. We've experienced a shortage of perishable due to the increased demands of assistance throughout the of the State of West Virginia. Therefore, we ask your consideration when taking items from the Rack. It is our goal to provide assistance firstly, to students in dire need.
Provide for Students who are suffering from food insecuities.
The Rack's Distribution Center for Perishable Items is located in Arnold Hall Apartments, 345 Prospect Street.
We do ask of all individuals utilizing the Rack distribution center to observe the limits of all items that one may obtain.
We must serve everyone, therefore, we cannot allow anyone to exceed the limit of items that has been outlined.
The Rack intend to serve as many people as possible, however, the space at our new location at Arnorld Hall Apartments has been an issue.
Americorps VISTA Grace Kealey is in charge of the Rack's distribution center along with the volunteer services. Student workers for the Office of Student Engagement and Leadership will also be on hand to assist.
Everyone utilizing the Rack is welcome to volunteer their service to assist the Rack.
The service to all students is free of charge for WVU's student's growth and " brain charge" toward toward every students' academic success.
