My experience was superb as an overnight stay. The office representative was as hospitable as could be around 3pm, 10/26/22, as I bombarded her with questions she answered enthusiastically. Room 318 was as good as it gets with every amenity imaginable. 2 tv’s, full size fridge/freezer, utensils, etc…..it was like your grandmother’s house prepared for your visit. I was impressed. The beds were impeccable ….crispy white sheets with 4 pillows layered with a lightweight comforter enabled me to sleep like a baby. I love this place. Deer everywhere. I wanted a place like this for my own. The resort provokes you to reminisce about what’s good in the world. I felt fortunate to have stayed here and still do today. As for Mr. Mueller and his security team I will always remain in awe of your professionalism….You played a role in my stay there which could have had disastrous consequences. What a wonderful time.
Have stayed here several times. I like the place. It is a beautiful location. Staff needs better training. As a participant in MS bike ride there are groups that book several rooms with late check out, as ride could finish at noon. Several times including last weekend we had issues. When I checked in I asked if they had me down for late Check out. No... Upon my request checked with mgr who than made a call and I was told yes. Asked person to let other staff know so others didn't have to repeat process. Got a blank look. Fridge was set to coldest temp so things got icy. Sunday...locks were set at 11 so no access. Others had same issue and were waiting for someone. We went to office. No apology, but stated that 11 is normal check out. Asked if they could pass this on so it would help people going fwd with process/communication training. He said for next year? I said for anyone with an agreed upon change to normal policy. Conversation was a waste of time. One friend in same room as last year again had no hot water. Called and was told would let maint know. No response... Please improve attitudes/service toward customer service and fix communication issues. Great place but attention to details needed.
Nothing fancy but perfect for a family getaway. Our room included a kitchen, oven/stove, toaster, fridge, etc. Beds were fine. It was like an Airbnb but without having to clean…which was great! When you stay at the resort you basically get two day tickets to the park per guest along with late pool hours too. Overall, a solid value.
They need to update these so so badly. Worst bed I have ever slept on. Our restroom door didn't close!!! We had to put a suitcase against it when we used the restroom. The day before our stay I called to confirm some details and they told me I couldn't park in the parking lot until the minute our room unlocked. Then we were told the opposite when we got there. The most uncomfortable stay. Now we know to just come for the day or stay somewhere else in New braunfels. However we loved the park!
We were apprehensive about renting a condo here because of some reviews. We got to the rental office late night and we were greeted by friendly staff. The directions to our condo were a bit confusing. The security officer offered to escort us to our condo, so we followed him in our car. Nice guy! But when we got to our condo, yes it was a bit out dated, it added to it's charm though. It was very clean. We had enough extra towels. Washer n dryer too! There were no musty odors. We would definitely come back.
We stayed here for the Bike MS Ride to the River. The off-season rates were affordable and reasonable. The location is less than a mile to the Comal County Fairgrounds so we could easily ride our bikes to and from there on streets with low traffic. The rooms were clean and comfortable.Rooms: 4/5
First, when I booked the resort and water park at the same webpage, they didn’t let me know that the water park was closed. They even, send me an e mail telling that I could purchase the water park tickets before. When I arrived, for our surprise, they had just closed the water park one weekend before. The resort is only a hotel bedroom and a pool that you can use. There is not ever a place to eat. Is this a resort??!!! Then the splash pool right in front our tree house was on, we went there and then before we get there the security stopped us and told us to leave. They should at least turn off if it wasn’t supposed to anybody else to go in. Terrible. Maybe when the water park is working it is a good place to come, but when is not it is terrible
The service and location of the resort is good. Our AC initially didn't work but that was fixed within a few hours. However, the rooms themselves were a trainwreck. Antiquated condos that were repurposed as a resort. Ten person accommodations with one shower. The rooms were straight out of the 70s without any updates. The beds were uncomfortable and caved in. We woke up with sore backs every morning. The sheets had bloodstains on them, we later found a tampon wrapper under the bed.
Big sized room. Buildings are really old and in need of improvement. Beds are super soft and I don't mean that in a good way. If you don't mind sleeping right next to the railway and hearing the trains all night - Then you probably enjoy it more than I did.
Not bad, but room 227 dead roach in the bathroom behind the door, dead pile/line of flies across the front wall inside the room. 8 live flies I'm the hallway. Otherwise not bad at all. Though a side note get Maintenance to check the ac drain pipe is leaking on top of ac and pouring into it.Rooms: 3/5
