Parking is good Great sports complex that offers alot of different options in the middle of no mans land. It gives alot of people affordable options in amateur sporting events.‍‍‍‍ The place is huge . There are over four rinks and areas for combat suburban traffic rage self defense fighting training/instruction. ‍‍ Needs A/C, real ice, better bathrooms, and better ventilation. It's kind of sweaty and steamy you'll notice it when you enter it smells like tube socks.
This was my first visit and I loved it! The Rinks hosted The Special Olympics hockey tournament on Sunday. The event was great! Plenty of room, the rink is comfortable. Bleacher seating, rooms for the teams, clean restrooms and a good snack shop with fair prices.
The facilities were nice and well taken and the overall staff were welcoming and caring and we had an overall fun experience that is except for the one person that ruined it, the manager of the snack bar. My wife took our two little girls to the snack bar to purchase drinks and snacks during half time, she noticed the sign attached on the register it read "$5 credit card minimum purchase knowing her order was way over that she ordered fountain drinks and snacks for her self and the girls with the card in her hand the whole time when it came time to pay he refused to accept the card and took the drinks back from the girls 4 and 5 I will let your mind ponder how that was received, believe me it was both girls were crying and removed the snacks from the counter. When my wife tried to explain that the purchase was nearly $20 and his sign said $5 minimum he simply said sorry and turned away from her. When I learned of what happened I walked over to the snack bar to make the purchase using cash and he pulled down the bars lock them turned out the lights and walked to the back out of sight. I have read multipule places online that this type of attitude and treatment of customers is normal for this guy and he has been doing it for years. We will be bringing our own food and drinks from now on, and I would seriously hope that the management of the rink seriously consider doing something about this guy there are tons of families that pay the bill's that keep this place busy between games and tournaments and having someone this rude and anti-customer will definitely affect its continued success.
Great facilities to host the USBOXLA Nationals...
Played here for a few years. The leagues themselves are generally pretty fun and there are lots of people that play here, so you can easily find a league that matches your skill level. Giving it three stars because I they kept raising the league fees every couple seasons, which would have been fine if there was any sort of discernible change to the facility itself in terms of maintenance or improvements. They really only ever replace stuff when it's to the point where they absolutely have to instead of trying to provide the best playing experience they can—but when you have people playing there regardless, I guess you can get away with not providing that top-notch experience. Overall though, a good place to play if you're in the area or want to get started playing hockey in a novice league.
The staff here are so polite and professional, I have played here for many years and everyone who works here loves hockey and spreading the love of hockey. The Ducks rinks are all really good, this one just has that hometown feel that really makes you enjoy spending a Friday night at the skating rink!
Awesome women's league, organized pretty well. Locker rooms are big and they have stick holders in each room. The place is kinda run down, but they replaced the skate surface not long ago. Ice court eats wheels, best to use +2 durometer over what you normally would use on sport court. The bathrooms are run down. Not the cleanest facility, but considering it's age and lack of upgrades it's not bad.
The skate floor is quite bumpy for a skating rink and not very smooth at all. Seems like it consists of a lot of rubber mats that are connected together like jigsaw puzzles. At least when you fall, you feel it less. But you will fall more than usual unless you are using outdoor wheels. I like the name though and the staff ones that I met seemed nice and accommodating.
Great location to play hockey
The refs are kids and are made to oversee adult leagues. They have no control which leads to fighting and injuries. The senior ref is childish and tries to intimidate women, even in front of the “manager” Kylie. I’ve played all over the United States and never experienced so many issues.
