My husband and I stayed a week ago, sorry it's a late review but we had the best hospitality in town. Rare to see management working on the weekend. We felt welcomed from the time we walked in the door to sitting and having dinner by the hotel manager, assistant manager and restaurant manager. Rooms were very cozy and beautiful. Their dinner special was fantastic. The staff made this visit very enjoyable and relaxing. Thank you Jolene Melissa and Monica for making this staycation amazing. We will definitely be back for some more r & r. Rooms: Decorated nicely and very clean and comfortable!
We got married at Gold Canyon Resort & Spa in Feb. 2022. Many people who attended said it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to! The mountain views were jaw-dropping, the food and service was top notch, and the lights strung all over the property added such a magical and romantic atmosphere to the evening. It was the perfect day! I loved that we got a variety of photos — we got sunset desert shots and also photos with LOTS of greenery! This was important to me as I am from the Pacific Northwest. And not to mention, the golf was spectacular; the groomsmen and our families had an absolute blast bonding on the course, it took the pressure of entertaining off of me in the days leading up to the wedding! Charlene went above-and-beyond, even to the point of finding some lanterns in her office that she knew would match my decor, and offering for us to use them. This place was a major blessing to us, and if I had to do it all over again, I would choose Gold Canyon every time!
It has to be said, this was a 2nd stay. That is because my wife and I stayed and the experience wasn't really good. Jolene is an amazing host / manager. The first time here it was less than excellent. However, my wife called and let them know the issues that we experienced on the weekend we were here. Immediately, Jolene made it her mission to make sure she made it right. And she did! Our 2nd stay was great! We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the restaurant and though we stayed one night this time, we really enjoyed the time. We will be back. We'll bring family with us next time. We had a great experience at Gold Canyon. Golf, food and hospitality were all awesome!!!! We had a large group and they were more than accommodating. From the time we checked in until we left everyone was so nice. We will be back!!!!

Gold Canyon Golf Resort & Spa. Beautiful place to stay. We just had a great dinner at the bar. The hamburgers are awesome! The bartender Ashlin is the best! Super attentive & friendly. Rooms are authentic historic southwest! Love this place!Rooms: 5/5
The only good thing about this place is the location. It is so pretty. Mountainside and gorgeous on the outside. However the inside is like a 70’s nightmare. Old and musty. The water had a smell to it. The shower was scary and dingy. Did not use it. The sheets were cheap and scratchy. I woke up and 4 am and couldn’t get out fast enough. Just terrible. Never again.
I want to express my THANKS for your staff’s efforts on my behalf at the concession stand after hole 10. My heat stress/dehydration came on fast and your staff was prepared to handle the issue. I was treated with great care by your staff, the paramedics, EMT’s and the Banner Health center. I’m doing great and will travel home to Kansas City area tomorrow. I was excited to share the Dinosaur course with my brother-in-law yesterday. It’s my all time favorite in the Valley! I first came to GCGC as a guest in November of 1992. Over the following 30 years I have hosted many clients for golf outings in March in Mesa and I always made GCGC a part of our course package. I love the challenge of the greens and the vistas around the course. We would always time our tee times in March so as to finish our day on the patio having dinner, watching the sun set and awaiting traffic to clear! Thank you also for refunding our rounds yesterday, just another reason to come play the next time I’m in the Valley. Thanks again for your help.
I never give 5 stars, but after our 2nd time staying at this resort I had to. We absolutely love this place. From the private jacuzzi to the beautiful scenery to the wonderful hospitality. We got there really late to check in and Joelene took care of us and made it super easy! Thank you!Rooms: 5/5
The Dinosaur Mountain course is one of the funnest in the valley. Sidewinder is also worth playing. Courses are kept in great shape. Staff is always friendly.
