In an absolute sense, the hotel is still very nice. The business function went well and the food and drinks were good, the location is fine. The lobby and hallways are up to date and smell and look good. But the grounds and rooms are starting to look tired and dated. The floor in our room was buckling, some lights didn't work, others had odd exposed mismatched light bulbs and seem to be missing shades that were once there. Faucets needed attention. The shower curtain was dirty. The facia stone on the building is literally falling off in places, and the deck around the pool simply isn't clean with leaves and debris against the walls. As far as staff, the front desk was fine, but one out of two of the concierge staff seems completely disinterested in helping us with a Deer Valley concert, or finding some food alternatives for it. If you're in a people business, you should at least fake being interested in helping! The butler's service is a nice idea, but if you offer a French Press, they should know how to make one... and didn't, and the one day we tried it, it was meaningfully late. It all sounds like nit-picking, but if you're expecting the St.Regis of old, or a Four-Seasons experience, and for the price you should, it isn't that.
We had the most amazing vacation at the St. Regis Deer Valley. Every aspect of the experience exceeded our expectations. From start to finish we always felt taken care of and like we were family. From the welcome plate of desserts and small stuffed animal for our daughter when we checked in to the great conversations we had with the Shuttle Drivers as they take you to and from Park City at your leisure Special shout out to Matt! , no detail was left out. We will definitely be back!
I stayed here for a week recently for a work function. Overall it was a great stay. Special shout out to everybody involved in preparing and serving the catered meals. The food was really good, especially the soups, salads and desserts! One issue myself and some others had was the rooms being too hot at night. Even though the thermostat was all the way down, every night around 1 or 2 a.m. my room would get pretty warm and I would wake up. I suspect there is some sort of central heating system that kicks on, but it is keeping the whole hotel way too warm. It's a waste of energy to need to crank the AC to offset the heating system... every room has a fireplace if needed, and the beds have down comforters... staying warm is not a problem. Hopefully their environmental systems engineer can make some adjustments here. The other issue I wanted to point out is that there is no recycling anywhere visible at this hotel. Sustainability is an afterthought. They hand out tons of plastic water bottles to everyone, and apparently we are just supposed to throw them away? What a collosal amount of plastic waste this place must produce. Almost everyone travels with reusable water bottles these days, instead of plastic water bottles, put water bottle filling stations everywhere.
Book here for an unforgettable stay. Amazing views, wonderful staff, very comfortable rooms. The spa is fantastic as are the pool and gym. As with the entire St. Regis group, they go out of their way to ensure the entire family has a nice stay. From loveys and rubber ducks, to baby slippers and tiny robes, the littles are pampered too!Rooms: 5/5
We love staying here, they always treat us so amazing and they're so great with our kids. The pool is nice and fun. The property is beautiful and they have some really good food. We can't wait to come back again.Rooms: 5/5
Beautiful location. Service quite good for business function. Big problem with scalding water coming out of hot and cold water lines. Very casual response including an email offering another room at 10:15pm that delivered after midnight. I'm in your hotel, in your room, with your phone....it was far too late anyway, but you couldn't call? Also, the scalding water likely remains an issue. Old pipes? Poor maintenance? I don't know, but they clearly didnt care about me or my situation enough. Not a high end hotel experience for sure.
Had to cancel due to a family emergency, 24hrs ahead of time. Zero follow up from St. Regis, I had to call in four times to get the answer that they were standing by a $2,500 charge for a stay not taken that they were informed of 24hrs in advance. It is what it is, but no follow up was unprofessional, no offer of compromise was disappointing, but reflective of the service one expects from the travel industry in 2023. Marriott Bonvoy line was surprised that the hotel had no interest in reviewing the charges, and stated that the hotel should have followed up with me. They did not.
Just left after staying a week. Hotel has a horrible sewer smell in the room and throughout the hotel. They are obviously having staffing issues due to decline in quality of service, decrease in amenities and reduced hours. This hotel doesn’t represent St. Regis brand. I’m only giving it three stars because of the handful of people who were just lovely, including our driver Matthew and Chris in The Library. Sewer smell hit you when you opened the shower door and when I went to open a drawer the door fell on me because the drawer was missing. Noteworthy details: Trendy place for couples without children.
We stayed at the St. Regis in March for a third time over spring break and had the best time. The concierge staff especially Ben and Leigh always go out of their way to make our stay extra special. Mafer, the manger of Rime for breakfast is an absolute sweetheart and all the staff in the ski valet went above and beyond to make sure we had our boots and skis. The St. Regis does not disappoint and we highly recommend you stay there for your next family ski vacation.
the restaurant used to be the best in Park City but has fallen on its face. Food was not cooked to requested temp. and was over salted. How can they let food like that leave the Kitchen?
