The Tin Lizzie Cafe

About

a quirky little restaurant with a lot of class!

Description

Come dine in one of the oldest buildings in downtown Richmond where larger-than-life sized murals of Humphrey Bogart and Marilyn Monroe adorn the walls.

We offer a wide variety of deli-style sandwiches, including everyone's favorites - Reuben, Philly cheese steak, toasted cheese, and BLT. We also serve daily lunch specials with those comfort foods you're craving.

And you can't leave without dessert and a cup of coffee!

We also cater, offering a variety of sandwiches and wraps in box lunches or platters.

We had a nice lunch at the Tin Lizzie. We had the Reuben Sandwich and they were pretty tasty. There was a lot of corned beef and the sauerkraut and dressing was in a good balance. The bread seemed to be toasted instead of just grilled, so it was a little harder than I'm used to. A good sandwich at an amazing price. The restaurant was peaceful and the staff was friendly.
Love the Tin Lizzie. In the heart of downtown Richmond, this cute little place gives a nod to the Richmond history and love of the Model T, and the nostalgia that goes with it. The food is delicious and prepared with an upscale flair. Sandwiches are deluxe and yum. Chicken Pot Pie with a flakey crust and delicious filling. Delish salads. Really good breakfast meals. There is a cute little store tied to it and a nice sized meeting room. I’ve had a few events catered by them and they have always done an excellent job. The people who own it and work there and service oriented. Highly recommend.
I always get great food here from daily lunch specials to sandwiches or breakfast. Best pancakes in town and best fountain coke too.
Great home-style cooking and an extremely pleasant atmosphere!
The hash browns were fried in an oil that had a fishy flavor. The grilled cheese sandwich tasted bad and was extremely greasy. Based on the reviews we were hoping for a higher quality breakfast. We did not care about plastic silverware and styrofoam plates. The staff was very friendly and the decor was nice as well.
Super good food, super nice service. Great little cafe with an old style 30's-40's vibe to it. Lots of neat memorabilia on the walls. Minus a star because one of our sandwiches had 2 grey hairs in it. I understand that these things happen, and it won't stop me from coming back, but im leaving an honest review. We took a day trip to Richmond, and will keep this shop in mind the next time we are in town.
Great place. Very friendly staff, interesting decor. Great food. Ruben sandwich with house made potato salad. Sandwich was big, great tasting, lean corned beef, good Swiss, but a little messy. Potato salad was good.
Adorable and quaint with a bit of history, good service and delicious food mixed in. We came by this cafe on a whim as we were looking for some breakfast place that was open for dine in apart from the usual breakfast joints. We couldn’t have been more happily surprised. We will definitely be back next time we visit Richmond, Indiana.
If you are looking for a comfortable, quiet place to enjoy a nice lunch, look no further. The Tin Lizzie Cafe is a nice local place to sit down and enjoy a sandwich whilst taking in some interesting local history as the walls are covered in article after article of Richmond specific historical facts. The service was great and so was the food that I ordered. I will definitely be coming back.
Great place! We like to meet our friends there for lunch. My favorite is the homemade chicken pot pie. My husband loves the spaghetti and meatballs.
