AMAZING service, talent and flavors! I ordered a wedding cake and Mr. Richard was so kind and understanding with what I wanted. The cake come out beautifuly and the flavors were soooo good! The cake definitely a highlight of the night. All my guest were so impressed and at awe. Thank you Mr. Richard and your team for doing such an amazing job.
I’ve had Richard create two very special cakes, one for my Papa’s 90th birthday and a chicken for my friend’s 40th. Both were showstoppers and delish! A true artist - thanks again!
I ordered a birthday cake a little over two weeks in advance, and also called ahead to confirm the order went through. Unfortunately, when I went to pick up the cake two weeks later I learned that they forgot to make the cake. I was told that it would be made and delivered to me before the party started, which it was. Tasted just fine, but it felt like such a rushed job, especially with the text. It looked quite sloppy written across the scroll, and I was told over the phone that it would have blood dripping down the side, which it didn't. I've seen the great work that's been done by this bakery. I just wasn't fully satisfied with the service given to me for the amount of money I paid.
First time using this bakery and definitely the last. For a $100+ cake, the exterior quality was mediocre. I think the picture speaks for itself. Picked up the cake a few hours before a birthday, not much changes we can do WITHIN A FEW HOURS OF AN EVENT. After bringing up concerns to Richard, the owner, no consideration was given to mediating the issue. As a business owner myself, I am honestly disgusted with that level of service as I have personally gone out of my way to refund customers or provide a discount if the product I offered was not as expected. Period, no questions asked. But hey, I suppose businesses who begin to put profits before quality & their customers are the ones that don't last the test of time. You can get much better value elsewhere for your bakery needs, don't waste your time or money here.
Three stars for the cake quality, very delicious and worth every penny; however, the service and everything else is Zero star. This place has a great potential to grow. I suggest that they do some service-review -analysis to identify the root causes of the bas service from taking the order to completing and delivering it. There is always miscommunication: not meeting the customer’s needs, and to solve that problem, a system has to be established and reviewed regularly to ensure it maintains good quality of services. My daughter’s birthday cake was not made as expected due to the inability to make it in the first place although the cake was super simple to make!! The second issue is that I ordered cookies Dinosaur shaped cookies two weeks in advance and the day of the pickup, they told me they couldn’t make them!! They waited until the pick up day which was too late for me to make or order them. I will definitely come back and edit this post accordingly.
5 stars for their always impressive talent and skill! They are able to take a picture and duplicate it impeccably!! 5 stars for the texture and flavor too! My very first cake from them was a 30th bday cake for my fiancé's surprise party. The cake was beautifully made, but their were some issues in the transit that it got smudged and the delivery time. The owner was very kind and professional about remediating it for me right away, which I really appreciated, so I decided to let them do my engagement party cake as well. They delivered it promptly and in perfect condition, and it was as delicious as it was fabulous! So 5 stars also for their professionalism and eagerness to make it right! I 100% recommend to all family and friends
I come here frequently to get bread, brownies, cookies, and whatever other goodies they have that day. Prices are very reasonable and the sweets are so good. I highly recommend to anyone in the area to stop in for some baked goods.
Called these guys with only a fews days notice for a birthday cake, and wow, they absolutely nailed it! Can't recommend them highly enough! I'll be going back for cakes of any occasion!
The cake turned out excellent. It was very delicious and the decorations were beautiful. The edible text was sharp and exactly what I had asked for. I was a little disappointed in the piping on the side of the cake, but understand that it is probably very difficult to have flawless handwriting vertically with frosting, so I'm not going to fault them for it. The flowers on the top were phenomenally detailed and lifelike, especially for just being buttercream frosting. The cake was moist and very delicious. The shop itself is very unassuming, but the employees are super friendly and helpful and creative. The price is not cheap though, in fairness, I don't buy a lot of custom cakes, so maybe it was in line with other custom cakes, but the quality received definitely fit the price. Thanks Village Bakery for an excellent experience.
