The Weaver House At Pine Bend Park

Great spot for weddings, open house, or other family celebrations. 150 people max. $50 for additional alcohol permit. 6 hour rental is approximately $150. 3 bathrooms in the house, kitchen, etc... Restrooms: 3 restrooms in the house. An outhouse near the trailhead. Picnic area: Several picnic tables in the shade and outdoor grills.

Nice landscaped historical county park. Beautiful old Victorian? Style building and lots of trails to hike. Pigeon creek and Lake Michigan very close.

I love this place. Take the time to read about the history. The house is like a time warp to 1920. The pines in front look to be around 80-100 years old.

Excellent venue for a small outdoor wedding. The house was very clean. The staff was wonderful. Very nice place.

Well-marked, well-maintained trails. Lots of options for short or longer hikes. Trails that are marked one-way on the map are not marked at the trails, so you will meet up with lots of people if you go on a weekend.

We hiked to Pine Bend from the Hemlock Crossing County Park, a beautiful walk along the pristine Pigeon River. Weaver House at Pine Bend is on the site of a notorious 1920s speakeasy, and is furnished and landscaped in the style of the period. Now used mostly for weddings and meetings, Weaver House nevertheless retains the feel of a lived-in home, and a stroll through the garden or a brief rest on the spacious veranda is like being transported in time to a turbulent, yet simpler time.

This is a really cool place for weddings and family reunions. The first question one might want to know since it's in Ottawa county is alcohol allowed. It is but there are rules. For smaller gatherings it is a little more relaxed but for larger groups you have to hire a bartender from their approved list and costs are more. This place used to be a speak easy during probation so it's kinda fitting that straight laced Ottawa county park allows this.
